Am I the only one who just can't get into essential shoegaze?

it's weird bc I like "alt shoegaze" (for a lack of a better term) like sweet trip, alcest or have a nice life.
But when it comes to the most essential and groundbreaking shoegaze like mbv or pic related I just don't enjoy it at all. Anyone else?

Im tired of you Loveless vs Souvlaki fucks. They're both great for their own reasons. Loveless is the best produced shoegaze and has the most mesmerizing textures to it's walls of sound. Souvlaki is less complex but is beautifully written and has overall better musicianship.

When the Sun Hits, title track, and Allison are the most shoegazy the rest feels like alternative.
