That tends to be the case. There are some good symphonic BM albums though.
Aside from the obvious ones like Emperor and Nokturnal Mortum, check out Anorexia Nervosa and Lucifugum. I also like the synths used in early Rotting Christ albums, which just reminded me that Deviser have some nice keyboards as well.
I almost forgot about that one, it's good stuff
