pretty sure they did report on it

they changed their name? hows that a tragedy. or that all the dudes from women died and they formed out of that?

the tragedy is that their name is racist and encourages white supremacist power structures

They went to shite

Preoccupations sounds cooler desu, too bad most of their albums after VC were kinda generic post punk revival shit

LMAOOOO

Their guitarist died tragically, then they went on to have a successful couple LPs and an EP before the SJWs took them down.

Sounds like any normal band from the 70s

I don't know why they went generic gothy when they had something good going with more This Heat influences.

I always liked the more poppy new wavey cuts on the first Viet Cong album like Silhouettes and Pointless Experience rather than the more experimental ones, Death is a fucking tune though
The problem is that on New Material everything is just so drab, Espionage is a good track, like a goth Gang of Four, they should go down that direction in the future

They really should have doubled down and said "we named our band in honor of the brave freedom fighters who expelled the imperialist swine and their stooges." At least they would have been right.

Oh yeah, I keep going to Espionage, but there's not much interesting else in that album. They had something good with a more "active" dark track like that, but that's just a nugget on a sea of alright.

they are very Pitchfork approved. wouldn't be surprised if it ends up on their Top 200 Albums of the 2010s list

*Stool-pigeons of the genocidal empire that was the Soviet Union.

>4 straight wh*te men
Not a chance.
Sadly true. I thought they were gonna be my generation's brilliant post-punk band.

They were so close, they had something special.

I fucking love that Womens album with the blizzard.

Yeah it's a shame, their first record was fantastic but it just became so boring and stale after that.

Are you the real Wint? I love your Twitter man. Post timestamp?

Check out this extended live version of Death, lads. Fucking insane. It's my favourite version of the song. The passion is just fucking insane and it really makes me want to see them live.
