Piano. To be good at piano you just need good hand eye coordination. Once you train yourself into doing different things with both hands you will be good enough for any band

I don't think that's true. Some simple pop(ular) songs from the last 50 years would be enough to impress some friends, or at least get them to sing along and have a good time

Guitar is an absolutely great instrument for self-teaching as it doesn’t require difficult theory as a prerequisite, you can sound good with just three chords and there are lots of resources for self-teaching.
