How come cassettes haven't been romanticized like vinyls?
How come cassettes haven't been romanticized like vinyls?
Cause it's already happened.
>vinyls
Good lord
Vinyli
Not big enough. Can't put up on your wall to show everyone how quirky you are.
meine vyniln
they have. look at ariel pink's and james ferraro's fanbases
tapes are big with punk wankers
because getting good sound of a cassette is annoying.
I've wondered the same
cassette bootlegs and mixtapes > vinyl
Vinyl is only good for reselling when you're broke
you just posted exactly that
they totally have, they're just less mainstream because they usually sound like shit
only real reason to listen to vinyl is because CD remasters are usually trash
they have been. all the edgy little indie bands that do a cassette only release to be cute. kys
That's not why people like vinyl.
ok i fuckin love cassettes, bigtime cassette-head and my friends who like vinyl always try to give reasons about why its better. they say shit like 'cassettes sound like garbage' well thats cause of the equipment used, i have a pretty decent cassette deck and i can record with good quality. also guess who gets to play their music in their car. ill shut up.
Doesn't cost as much so it didn't really make sense to try to meme people into liking cassettes
cassettes are great. I love cassettes. Over the past 10 or so years I've noticed not everyone feels the same way I do about cassettes tho. Not sure why but it's okay in the end because I love them.
Certain nostalgia based communities are definitely keeping tapes alive. Vaporwave i'm looking at you. pic related just sold for something absurd like 1000 dollars
Dont mind me just dropping $4,117 on a prince cassette
Yeah I felt like a retard for collecting cassettes, but then the CD player in my car broke and now all I have is a tape deck, but boy am I tired of my favorite tapes
Because most cassettes have deteriorated and/or are completely unplayable
Get a load of this nerd
zoomer keeps talking about shit he knows nothing about.
because the sound quality is severely lacking.
with vinyl you get the novelty and good sound if you know what you're doing.
that's fucked up
Vaporwave is a joke in general
It was a pain in the ass and they sound like shit. Copy quality was sketchy too, I had a boombox with two tape decks and the copy always somehow sounded a bit slower (just an example)
