Korn is shit and you should feel bad for even asking.
Can a Kornfaggot post their definitive worst to best
I hear it gets really rough later on
The only redeeming thing about this is Billy Corgan helped them.
spic
I'm listening to it right now, I'll let you know when I'm done. So far it's decent. I thought the singles they released from it were good.
Worst to best?
See You On The Other Side
Take A Look In The Mirror
Untouchables
Life Is Peachy
Untitled
The Serenity of Suffering
The Paradigm Shift
The Path of Totality
Remember Who You Are
The Nothing
Korn
Follow The Leader
Issues
This feels randomly generated.
I liked it, but more importantly, it's Korn's first good album cover. Good job, boys! Only took 25 years and 13 albums.
I've listened to all of their albums at least a dozen times. It's my opinion. Most would place their albums without Head on guitar (2005-2011) at the bottom because they're stubborn boomer fucks who hate experimentation, but I like all of those records except for SYOTOS which is just clunky and claustrophobically overproduced.
Ok, so I got done listening to it an hour ago, and thought it was pretty good. You should check it out OP. Someone who has listened to all of Korn's discography ranked it their fourth best .
As usual for Korn, much of the lyrics are about the torment and suffering Jonathan Davis feels, and in this album it seems to reference the death of his second wife Deven and his feelings in the aftermath of that, including feeling like he failed her as heard in the last song.

>listening to Korn
I haven't listened to Korn since around the time Issues came out and had no idea they'd still been releasing stuff all this time. Should I subject myself to the rest of it?
if you go in wanting to like it you'll like the brunt of it
if you go in wanting to hate it you'll hate the brunt of it
So like the first and second times I tried anal. Got it. Thanks.
Untouchables is their best by far
I didn't hate it, a bunch of 3.0's basically.
Highlights were Idiosyncrasy, H@Rd3r, and This Loss.
I re-listened though their discography recently too so AMA.
Korn honestly is not so bad, cringy lyrics at times though, ugh. I HATE EVERYTHING!!!!!!! I WANT TO DIE!!!!!!!!
Album scores in pic.
Yikes.
This, they made one good album, which is more than many can say.
i can see how people might like untouchables but not how they'd consider it their best
some of the verses and choruses just drag on without any real substance or anything to tie them together and the way it's produced is so floaty and drowned out
definitely revisit it the least
S/T > Nothing >>> LiP
Haven't heard any of their other albums.
>H@Rd3r
Please tell me that's not a real song title.
It is, and there's no good reason for it either. Song's solid as fuck, too.
Could be reaching, but I think this series of albums that begin with "The" are them working backwards through their discography, starting at SYOTOS.
In other words;
The Path of Totality is See You on The Other Side's counterpart.
The Paradigm Shift is Take A Look In The Mirror's counterpart.
The Serenity of Suffering is Untouchable's counterpart.
The Nothing is Issues' counterpart.
If their 14th album starts with The and incorporates hip-hop influences like Follow The Leader, it will confirm my theory.
I listened to half of it earlier before getting bored. I saw someone describe it as 'heavy but unimpactful' which sums it up nicely for me.
bad take
go away jonathan
Production is great. Musically it feels like a real throwback to 90's nu-metal, lots of hip-hop grooves. Is there still an audience for this sound?
Was surprised at the album it's pretty damn good
I kind of am.
Your autism is showing, and I like it.
Stupid to release this so close to the Tool album.
AOTY TIL THE NEW HANL ALBUM
>Can a Kornfaggot post their definitive worst to best
For me it's
Korn III/RWYA
Untitled
SYOTOS
Path Of Totality
Paradigm Shift
Serenity
Untouchables
Take A Look In The Mirror
Life Is Peachy
Follow The Leader
Korn
Issues
Haven't listened to their newest at all yet. Korn is an interesting band because for the most part there is always some fairly big difference between recordings....which leads to fans having very different preferences often.
TALITM I find a lot of fans seem to hate but I think it's really good and was much more "metally" and clean sounding compared to Untouchables which I definitely cannot play from start to finish personally.
Untouchables has some undeniable classics like Here To Stay and Thoughtless, a couple album cuts that are decent like Hollow Life, but man some of that shit like Wake Up Hate and Beat It Upright is god awful to me, and the production despite having been something they spent shitloads of fucking money on just for Jonathan to have his perfect sound, sounds like shit to me on most songs, all muffled and dirty, like there's some kind of filter on top of it all

Yeah to me it's their worst sounding album, I rank it above the more recent two because it has songs that are synonymous with the band in my mind and the good songs don't sound bad, but the bad ones also seem like there is too much shit going on in the production
TALITM sounds much better to me and I was happy when it came out sounding better than Untouchables, which seems to be a fairly unpopular opinion but it's how I hear it
Often it is not that there is too much shit going on - I don't think there are more layers of sound than on Issues, which has a lot of overlaid tracks - it's just that dynamic range compression causes audio clipping, which sounds like additional distortion - but not in a good way. That's what makes it sound so muddled. This is what (almost) ruined Metallica's Death Magnetic and RHCP's Californication.
TALITM is mixed quite loud as well, but not so extreme as Untouchables.
I love some songs on both Untouchables and TALITM, but neither records are amongst my favorites. And I almost never listen to them in their entirety, if at all. Untouchables is more experimental and has better song writing, but TALITM has some strong more stereotypical Korn tracks (and 'Right Now' is one of the most aggressive songs they ever produced).
Makes sense I guess
>Korn
You need to be 18 or older to post here
What music would you prefer we talked about?
>board full of Billie Elishe, Kanye West, and Death Grips threads
>complains about Korn being for underaged people in 2019
You're an idiot.
The Nothing is a great album. Cool concept, lots of emotion.
Worst to Best:
SYOTOS
Untitled
Remember Who You Are
Path of Totality
Follow The Leader
Serenity of Suffering
Life Is Peachy
Paradigm Shift
The Nothing
Untouchables
TALITM
Issues
Korn
>Life is peachy up that high
the fuck is wrong with you?
Untouchables is a good example of Over-Production. I agree, yes Here to Stay & Thoughtless sound amazing, but often times the overdone production can be too much and hard to digest. Its a monster of an album, 90 minutes I believe.
K3
LiP
PoT
TaLitM

Korn
TPS
Issues
The Nothing
SoS
Untouchables
Lol, are you deaf?

It's really pretty good. Others posting hate in here need to go post in the ghost or grimes thread. Losers.
GOD IS MAKING FUN OF ME
Cringey lyrics but I love the delivery.
Really, though? A lot of their covers are bad, but their first album and the normal issues and chalk drawing one are good looking covers, better to look at than this
This is a great covers imho
I like the TPS cover. Also the special edition Untouchables cover with the TV, but I'm a sucker for that music video.
