The mixing/recording quality is so much better, for obvious reasons, and I think that's kind of why I don't like this one. The way their older albums sounded made it raw, and this album is tame.

Not gonna lie, I can barely tolerate Surfer Rosa and Doolittle. Heard the lead single for this one and I almost fell asleep.

Loving this album. Def their strongest since reuniting and the first that had me pumped from the singles leading up to it. Where Bagboy and Um Chagga Lagga had me scratching my head prior to Indie Cindy and Head Carrier (mind you I enjoy some songs from those record but they are far from regular rotation), On Graveyard Hill and Catfish Kate have been in regular rotation for months for me leading up to this thing. Not classic level but a welcome return to form from my favorite band of all time.
