Just bought one, what does Yea Forums think of this new clone synth?
Behringer K 2
Is the 808 released, yet?
just use software lol
I already have Zebra, its pretty amazing, but there's no substituting a real MS 20 (clone)
not yet.
korg ms20 mini? YEAH, I'M THINKING IT'S AWESOME
I'm very exited for this, I didn't have the space for another full keyboard, and am glad that this is just a module.
it looks like a chocolate bar
but in a good way
The only thing i'm really curious about is how the ms 20 side button will be mapped in midi?
Maybe the mod wheel?
Trigger button is on front panel, it's hidden in the demo video.
This literally came out just yesterday. Are you shilling?
I really appreciate the ethos of Behringer for making affordable, full sized analog synths. It this case I'd probably pay more and opt for Moog Mother32 (even if the sequencer of that is a piece of shit), but I'm looking forward on picking up the SH-101 clone and prolly the 808 too.
I wish, I actually pre ordered the damn thing! The sound quality was a good deal better than the official ms 20 mini.
I'm getting into synths and I just discovered Behringer. I mean I've been hearing that name for quite some time now, but I never got around on checking them and their nice prices.
So what's the catch? With those accessible prices, is there a big downside to their products? Cheap sound and materials?
Just wish the mini wasn't so shit. Desktop modules just don't have any character to me without the keys. It just doesn't feel like an instrument.
>So what's the catch? With those accessible prices, is there a big downside to their products?
If you look at comparison videos between the Behringer clones and the originals, the clones have sounds extremely close to (i'd say 90% of the way there) the originals. Even the waveforms when viewed on oscilloscopes are scarily close. Build quality might be where the biggest difference is, but for the price they're still remarkable. I think OG manufacturers are pissed they can't bank on the whole "assembled by music ethusiasts just like you in our all-American workshops where we treat our employees with respect and dignity" premium anymore when Behringer have shown that young people without much disposable income are more than happy to purchase knockoffs produced in China for a fraction of the cost.
GEARSPAMMER BTFO
lol, I love behrinshit shills
you rang?
yeah man like things just sounded so much better in the 70s. technology is on the decline you just can't get semiconductors like you used to. i really love the warm sound of my wood knob nos tube amplifier mann..
Woops wrong pic
Do you have to preorder one of their synths or can I wait just a couple of months and they will still be available/in production? Never bought a synth from Behringer, they look fine
you're going to introduce static from the carpet that will harshen all that analog warmth!!
Since it doesn't have any keys, how do I play it? Can I plug my Minilab MKII?
life in the fast lane, buddy
hey that’s not the correct pic
midi keyboard or cv controller
Does the Minilab MKII work tho? Everyfucking time I see pictures/videos of people jamming, they have that other arturia midi keyboard, the one with the arp, it's always that keyboard plugged to modulars but never the Minilab, will I have to get another midi keyboard?
does it have a midi out? if it's just usb then you will have to buy a converter box or run it through your computer and have the computer output the midi.
the arturia has a CV out i think so that's why you always see that one as it's more convenient to just plug in normal 1/4 in jack.
any will work
thanks for the replies fellas, have a nice weekend
i want a cirklon clone

lol
Can you trigger it so it just continuously plays a wave? I'm toying with an idea of getting one to make harsh noise with.
you will have to clarify what you mean? saw wave, sine wave, square wave? wave file?
reverse shark tooth wave
I'm pretty sure you can, if you route the noise generator or a constant voltage source into the trigger input.
Nevermind, I just saw the price, not worth it
