What are good software options for noise? I downloaded every distortion VST I could find on VST4FREE, I'm wondering if I should get some synths and shit too. I have Supercollider but I don't know how to use it well yet. Thinking about getting analog gear too but no idea what to get.

i heard somewhere on the internet that merzbow used to take Cd's and put electrical tape on them to interrupt the signal and make noise does anyone have any proof of this?
