Would definitely ruin Hauff’s pussy but you’re right. Marie Davidson, too.
I don’t understand why music like this is so popular in the first place. This is why EDM gets the reputation it does for being soulless
op here. are you into techno? i am and is a bit sad the actual context. you know a great dj and producer like robert hood, anthony shakir or claude young is all about the the talent at making your own songs and in the mixing. but in this case there are poor talent and they focus more on the image.
>Marie Davidson
she's decent i guess
>Would definitely ruin Hauff’s pussy
i agree they're more like models right
mall grab lol
youtube.com
first its not edm (guetta, marshmello...) it's techno, house and the likes. second, you cant generalize, like other genres there are shit and good artist, in this case the more lame are the the more hyped
Techno and house are definitely EDM. You’re making a distinction of subgenres of EDM, but it’s all EDM.
That’s always the case for EDM in seems though. It’s like SUPER lame shit. I honestly don’t get it
This music is the same as shoegaze. It's for teaching your girlfriend how to make music but you're not that good either.
nina kravitz is pretty good, not cringe at all
music for pretentious homosexuals and art hoes
she's good at mixing like hundreds of other djs, nothing special but very hyped
Maybe my tastes are just more flamboyant and what I like isn’t cool in the European club scene
her record label is also pretty consistent in quality.
in fact there are tons of normalfags that are yuppies and phonies
youtube.com
quality is for example all the detroit techno and house scene
youtube.com
it's natural that looks and image plays a big role in developing popularity, and it's not only about music, in any sphere there are people that get popular easier just because they look better
maybe it's you who cares too much about image and popularity in the first place? your thread shows. and this:
>techno is not edm
edm means Electronic Dance Music and not what you'd like to think it means
also nina kravitz is good
holy shit what happened to the dj techtools guy???
I like most varities of house except deep house, but I prefer minimal and electro. I rarely hear it.
I’m really not into mainstream EDM at all
So many incels here lol.
Just drop E and enjoy
Why wouldn’t people prefer to roll to crazy shit? Am I missing something?
There’s nothing wrong with the old-school sound. But to me, the best music for rolling is going to be bonkers synth noise
>maybe it's you who cares too much about image and popularity in the first place?
op here. i'm not attacking the image, people are free to decide what they want about it. my point is basically about the talent in the mixing and production. what i'm simply saying is that a lot of the hyped contemporary dj's don't have out of ordinary abilities in those areas. a lot of them seems to me more worried about their looks (not a bad thing in itself) than improving their abilities. if a dj is talented (see the consolidated names in detroit or berlin scene for example) i wouldn't even note their look.
>edm means Electronic Dance Music and not what you'd like to think it means
i wonder if the house and techno scene of the 80's would agree with that. both terms existed before the edm thing
>also nina kravitz is good
she's good at mixing like hundreds of other djs, nothing special but very hyped
>i wonder if juan atkins would agree with that. the techno term was coined in the 80's before the edm tag right?
techno is just a tag, edm is descriptive tag. techno is not the first genre of dance music made with electronic hardware. this definition had a meaning before techno
>op here. ,y point is basically about the talent in the mixing and production
and about popularity and image as well
if you didn't care about those as much as you do this thread wouldn't exist
>i wonder if the house and techno scene of the 80's would agree with that.
Yes, since EDM has existed since the 70’s
>and about popularity and image as well
see my post above you. also there are popular dj's like the young richie hawtin (concerned with their image), juan atkins or robert hood that are hugely popular but with great abilities and i don't have a problem with them
>EDM
coined in the mid eighties after the term "techno" right?
mixing with vinyl
youtube.com
It doesn’t matter when the term was coined. It’s an umbrella term and an accurate description of what house and techno are.
I don’t know why people are so fucking sensitive about this
what does a DJ "do" besides offer you a playlist?
Can't stand Nina Kraviz, I don't see anything interesting about her aside from her looks (which doesn't say much, I'd bang anybody at this point).
It's a pure example of pathetic beta males who can't seem to have enough of le quirky girls xD
give you the illusion that said playlist is actually a single long track
what techno do you like OP?
it just has bad associations attached to it
Mix different tracks together. That’s why EDM tracks in specific genres sound so similar and why EDM gets a repetition for soulless hackery.
It isn’t at all related to producing anything though. What you really want to see are producers who DJ their own material, otherwise you get these DJs like OP is mentioning who are just offering their looks or whatever
I totally understand that. Most EDM is not worth listening to, but that goes for any genre, really.
I get that the label is associated with loud, annoying stuff.
Synth noise can be done very tastefully though
detroit techno, minimal, microhouse...

Nina has her own label and it's pretty left field as far as modern techno goes...
this thread just seems like you're bitter about women in the techno scene
>this thread just seems like you're bitter about women in the techno scene
lol no, see my post: >leftfield in itself doesn't mean interesting
Ecstasy in daylight was a mistake.
am I supposed to click on all that shit lmao
Ellen alien is based, kraviz is a hack
retard edm-poster
>Ellen alien is based
this
not lmao
It just seems like you’re bitter somebody is criticizing her and you’re becoming defensive about it.
I give no fucks about the techno scene or any DJ for that matter
that's just your opinion, bruh
she's clearly highly regarded as a decent dj/producer
>I'm not attacking the image
>starts his rant with "they're good looking"
>give no fucks about the techno scene or any DJ for that matter
then why are you even here lmao
I’m not into it. I like the new stuff more
It’s EDM, get over it
Because I wanted to talk about EDM
>I'm not attacking the image
>starts his rant with "they're good looking"
i made my point clear in this post: , pal
>she's clearly highly regarded as a decent dj/producer
as i said she's decent like other hundreds of dj's but very hyped for only being decent. also ask any serious techno listener and you'll get something like this why people is getting so defensive?
>2019
>having any kind of respect for a “dj”
isn't techno edm?
again, your sole opinion
Nina has waaay better sets than Ellen, seen them both
what about robert hood newfag?
Of course techno is EDM.
What’s my opinion?
>again, your sole opinion
who are you quoting?
shit the second quote was for the edm poster can fuck off, he's clearly american
You’re right. And I can’t stand faggy Euro club music
There are no exceptions pleb.
If they aren’t improving a live hardware techno set, they are complete hacks. Modern dj sets take zero skill.
>again, your sole opinion
apart of the above arguments to any serious techno listener nina kravitz and the likes in terms of mixing and production it's ok at best
like other thousands of dj's. of the contemporary dj's dygas sets and production (her 2011 perlon record) are interesting imho.
>Modern dj sets take zero skill.
not true there are tons of mediocre dj's using technology and others with by far better skills like suburban knight, anthony shakir, robert hood and other consolidated names who knows also djing with vinyl
it's an art form as much as video games and movies
man that's a bad pic of ellen she's a qt actually
your only argument was "they're decent mixing but are hyped cus they're good looking"
which is false, her Trip label has put out good work consistently and that's where the hype comes from, she's not even good looking imo
>but are hyped cus they're good looking
i never said that pal, they're decent mixing and they are hyped, why? tons of mediocre music is hyped see indierrock or the shit is normally discused here. read my post again or maybe you have reading problems?
also i dont care about nina kravitz in particular my comment is more about a trend in contemporary techno in general.
Serato vinyl plays no role here. Further debating this only proved how little you actually know on the skill level required.
...
Thank you for reminding me how much I hate boiler room and every narcissist who appears there.
>t's an art form as much as PLAYING video games and WATCHING movies
fify
you didn't
you are misunderstanding here
I literally just said where the hype comes from, maybe you're the one with reading problems? just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's bad
you tried, man
lol
in facts i wonder why are you trying so hard pal?
i never said the hype come from their looking.
>i should have choose the pic of boris brejcha instead i guess. take it easy haha
Mall grab is shite live, his sets are awful. Saw him 2 weeks ago
hello,
here is my first techno set
it would be nice if you listen it, like and share/repost
thank you very much
I like to call all this new york loft yuppie garbage yacht electronics. It includes this poser shit among volca fm ambient and shitty generative modular by people who think they can buy themselves into a music lifestyle
different guy
think you're arguing with a dunce though
Kys
>Yuppies going out to clubs ugggggghhhhhhh being social heh normal fags heh heh.
This thread
I've been to boiler rooms and go to techno raves regularly
It's fun
Now hate me
>describes music as a lifestyle
>is mad people do the same
being an industry plant = buying your way into a music lifestyle
Why? Thats cool user, used to do the same but gfs that arent into techno make it kind of tougher
The machines and DAWs just got too easy. They need to put up a little fight.
>I don't do anything I like anymore because of the gf ha
pathetic
either you're using her as an excuse or you're stuck being the pansy in the relationship
It's easy to dance to.
>NOOOO NEVER MAKE SACRIFICES FOR A WOMAN THATS PATHETIC
I honestly don’t understand Yea Forums‘s taste in electronic music. It’s either standard hip-hop or standard old-school club stuff.
There’s so much amazing, diverse shit being made
