I think what is meant by 350 bpm is that the fastest parts of the song would be 16th notes at that tempo.The main snare pattern that he plays alternating his hands would be eighth notes, but there are bursts of double bass that are double that speed. If you think of those as thirty-second notes, it would be 175. It might make more sense to think of or feel it that way, I dunno. When I've seen drummers brag about double kick speed it's been referenced with 16ths though.

I'm halfway through season 2
Yui x Ritsu are considered the best 2 in the show right? They're a great one-two punch.

Also that part where Nodoka took her strawberry felt very out of place for Yui but funny and Seinfeld-esque.

I don't like Ritsu like I like Azunyan, Yui, and Mio, probably because she's so tomboyish, but Ritsu's and Yui's personalities probably play off of each other the best.

Azunyan the worst. Mio is decent, likable. White girl is meh. Just there. But yea, it's really the way they play off each other. Season 2 is a lot better than the first, didn't care for Ritsu in season 1 much either. I already barely remember it.

I have my issues with Digibro, but I think he was right when he said that K-On gets better the more of it you watch because (part of) it's appeal is that it feels familiar.

I don't even know who that is but the reason is because Season 1 is just kind of..pointless. Nothing interesting happens. I expected a lot more teaching of instruments for the young girls watching and then out of nowhere Yui can play these licks, time moves way too fast and you don't see the development. They also actually don't do a lot of music, I get that that's part of the joke, but really that was oddly missing. Season 2 feels like they got a better budget and knew they had a lot more time to flesh it out. I think it does help that their relationship was already established though.

Yea, that's what I was referencing when I said "knew they had a lot more time to flesh it out". I watched the first season on hulu, I got lucky and broke my rule of not googling shit I haven't finished for fear of spoilers because the quality seemed off so I tried some shady anime streaming site and saw it in 1080p and it was a world of difference. Also found out about the fact hulu doesn't have the extra episodes, ovas, or movie. I also saw the animated shorts, pretty cute. I'm not big on anime, especially the overly cutesy shit but I've been trying things I'm normally not into and the show definitely has its charm.
