Post-grunge is my "guilty" (not guilty) pleasure, so it got me thinking if I listen to stuff like Seether, Staind, Puddle of Mudd etc, maybe I should give Nickelback a chance, thinking they may have just been slammed by ageing Gen-X sourpusses who were sad that their hero Cobain "was killed by Courtney".
So I hit youtube up and listened to Nickelback, and unfortunately, only a couple of their song's are barely worth listening to and the rest is trash.

I honestly gave them a chance and sadly, it turns out they in fact deserve the reputation they have.

Nickelback gets shit because they were the biggest band of the post-grunge scene and represented all of the reasons why people hated that era of radio rock. Every shitty Buckcherry, Hinder, 3 Doors Down, Three Days Grace, etc song had elements that could be traced back to Nickelback's winning formula for notching radio hit after radio hit. The fact that they were dropping over half the album as singles during the latter part of the decade didn't help.
