Far better lyrics, chord progression, melody and a fairly unconventional rhythm when compared to Manson's. The only thing you may have is the vocals but John still had a far more engaging character and tone to his voice.
The Manson recordings are nice for what they are but people overstate his talent just due to how unexpected it is. You can tell he was just cheaply imitating the mega popular sunny folk-pop shit that LA was obsessed with at the time.

Pleb taste
That's even worse kek
Logan Sullivan
Indeed they're just standard guitar chords
Owen Watson
>pleb taste Nah. It's pretty good
Jason Smith
Well just coming from classical music and finer arts it sounds atrocious
Manson's though a humble pop song is more elegant and genius, a better crafter
Ayden Gonzalez
>Well just coming from classical music and finer arts it sounds atrocious Me too, friend, and I really enjoy his song.
Austin Bell
John Lennon beat his wife, that much is true
Bentley Evans
Charles Manson was responsible for peoples deaths but he never killed anyone himself. He was a cult leader and got people to kill a bunch of rich white people and make people think black people were doing it and start a race war.
Adrian Fisher
Nice cherry picking, faggot.
Nathaniel Russell
Pick another Lennon song if you want That he performs with just acoustic guitar
Elijah Nelson
Agreed
Jack Bailey
Is that stuff really true? I heard his followers just got into drug related spat and the FBI put it on him
Anthony Brooks
GARBAGE DUMP OH GARBAGE DUMP WHY ARE YOU A GARBAGE DUMP
Joshua Ortiz
Yes, that's why he always gets jumbled with Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy etc. Because he was responsible for the murder of innocent people even though he didn't do them himself.
Owen Sullivan
If you really wanted to get your point across, you shouldn't have posted a video of John Lennon playing a depression era blues song. You should've posted him playing one of his own originals.
Of course Manson as a musician/songwriter is highly underrated. I mean look at how many people covered his songs, and the one band that literally STOLE one of his songs, changed the lyrics, added a bridge, and gave him NO credit, nor royalties for his troubles.
No wonder he was so angry that he went on a killing spree.
>Fun fact, did you know that when he went to Sharon Tate's house, he was actually looking for Terry Melcher, who was the previous owner? (He was The Beach Boys producer at the time)
Christopher Moore
he also wrote a beach boys song but they didn't credit him and he got pissed.
Dominic Jackson
just freak out minion
Wyatt Collins
that is one of his own songs. it's like his spin on a blues song. he wrote all the lyrics and everything
