Newsflash. Anything that is super popular has some merit or value, which is why many people like it whether it ultimately is your style or appeals to you or not. Things that have no value or appeal but still get popular do exist but this is a rare phenomenon in the grand scheme of things.
Will check it out
Well now you made me look and this came out in 1994 wowowowow dezu. Would not have guessed that
Ya but a lot of albums that get hyped have been disappointing to me so this was a nice surprise.

all of history proves it.
personal favs are heresy and march of the pigs but yea closer is a classic, one of the darkest mainstream hits ever allowed on radio to this day and i love that about it.
Was listening to PHM the other day. Are the lyrics supposed to be extremely cringe?

Did Trent Reznor ever credit Ministry's early records as a big influence, or instead does he ever get called out for ripping off their sound and style?
It's not that big of an influence, where's the thrash metal influence in NIN which Ministry clearly has?
Broken, duh
and we're talking about Twitch, not about their metal stuff
I mean Ministry's first albums, their third is pretty thrashy and their sound was consistently more metal thrash from then, but the first to are entirely dark electronic/industrial
youtube.com
Trent even stole his look and I was just wondering if this ever gets brought up
He was probably much more influenced by Depeche Mode and Cabaret Voltaire
but they don't sound alike
based, op is a pleb faggot
Twitch only for Pretty Hate Machine
Their other stuff only Broken
He has completely reinvented the sound of NIN, making it his own by The Fragile
Silver Apples, White Noise and The United States of America already did it in the '60s
