>Green Day, Weezer and Fall Out Boy announce joint stadium tour
>The three bands are joining forces for the Hella Mega stadium tour, which will kick off on June 13, 2020, in Paris, France, before heading to North America the following month. All three bands have also released new songs to promote their tour.
don't know what to say about that poster
Umm BIG news guys
*Holds up spork*
>BEVERLY HILLS
>THAT’S WHERE I WANT TO BE
what is the target audience here?
Virgins, fake punks, and 20something scene girls.
you say that like it's a bad thing
After listening to the new Green Day song, 20+ people that hate them for not being "punk enough"
That's for Green Day at least, I can't stomach FOB so I don't wanna listen to the song, I'll check out W song later
my gf got me tickets to this. jealous?
>implying those bands are relevant
They're not on sale yet
Remove FOB and add some other 90s or 2000s band and it'll be boomerfest 2020.
She sucked off someone close to the band to get early access probably.
>thinking thats the point
There are sites selling early tickets for insane prices. That being said, I think user is joking.
>Finally get to see my favorite band of all time growing up
>They are going to be playing nearly exclusively new stuff
Donno if I wanna go if they don't play Longview
They play Longview on almost every show, they always play only the latest album ( 3/4 songs ) and then maybe 1 out of any other pre AI era one and then just dookie, AI, Insomniac... early stuff
im unironically thinking of going to this
i think all those bands are pretty cringe but my friends are probably going to want to see green day and im thinking of going with them cause it seems like a dumb fun experience and part of me kinda wants to see weezer and this might be a good excuse (also they dont tour in europe too often so i should probably see them before they start being even worse)
I saw Blink a few years ago for the same reasons and it was a lot of fun with friends. At the very least we got to see people drugged out of their gourd.
Plus as much as I dislike their music Bring Me the Horizon was a lot of fun live. Lots of pyro/crowd interaction and they seemed like they were actually enjoying performing (While Blink was zero energy)
anyone any idea how much will the tickets cost?
This would have been amazing 10 years ago
I’m gonna see if I can go purely for nostalgia. Green Day’s new single is OK, Weezer’s single is growing on me, and Fall Out Boy is just absolute shit now but all three of these bands were genuinely good in their prime.
lies
I get Green Day having the audience to carry a stadium tour, and maybe Fall Out Boy on a good day, but Weezer? I like them, but haven't they basically been theatre sized recently?
They're still pretty big. Africa charted high for a late 10s rock song at like #50. They play arenas I think.
"i only listen to real music" teens
In some places but not everywhere
Well good on them I guess. I thought they were done for after Raditude/Hurley but I'm glad they've made somewhat of a comeback.
