He’s a good rapper but only slightly above average as an overall artist. A lot of young rap fans who aren’t exposed to much lyrical rap overrate the hell out of him because he’s the most accessible conscious hip hop to them. People who call him trash are being hyperbolic and they know it though.

Honestly OP it's too early tell how his career will end, although at the rate he's going right now he'll probably end up like DMX or 50 Cent; obscure and unknown to the newer generation of hip-hop fans once retired, while fondly remembered by nostalgic oldheads, which is us in the future.
