there was a thread yesterday about how listening to full albums was stupid or outdated or something but I don't remember enough about it to search the archive, does anyone else remember this thread who can help me out?
There was a thread yesterday about how listening to full albums was stupid or outdated or something but I don't...
Other urls found in this thread:
That girls ugly mate
I would hit it and you know you would too.
>knee high socks
My one and only weakness m8
I listen to everything on randomized. When I download an album I skim through every track and delete the ones that don't click
I hope you really don't do this.
How else will I compile a proper rym catalogue though?
What type of albums are you listening to?
Therm outdated is pretty stupid in this case. Singles used to be all that existed in the early 1900s. Returning to singles only would actually make your listening habits more old fashioned than listening to full albums.
What is her name ? Asking for a friend.
I found the thread, but now Yea Forums wont let me delete this post, so whatever
doubt anyone cares but here

the idea of albums is based on an idea tied to an obsolete physical object. peoples attachment to that form is object fetishism which is tied to capitalism
>Singles used to be all that existed in the early 1900s.
you are retarded in thinking the only music that has existed is music playback devices for home listening. music has existed as long as humanity

Thanks user
Why suffer through tracks I don't like?
I listen to Morrissey, smiths, os mutantes, the radio dept, Lana del rey, Rihanna, video game osts, Miley Cyrus, spoon, Philip glass, pylon, Taylor swift, Brian Jonestown massacre, dionne Warwick, Tegan and Sara, ladytron, azealia banks, broken social scene, Charlotte Gainsbourg
Ah ok
.
Fizzz
stop bumping my thread please
How the hell do you differentiate Brian Jonestown Massacre tracks... Picking the ones you like would be impossible when the whole album is basically one long song.
>Azealia Banks
>Taylor Swift
>Miley Cyrus
>video game osts
>Lana del Rey
???
I'm just jealous my taste isn't that based that's all
>listening to full albums was stupid or outdated
I agree, medleys are the way of the future.
youtube.com
Nice trap.
this is a bad way to listen to music. some tracks u dislike can become ur fav later
it's not a trap
I'd hit it with a snow shovel
You have shit taste in music.
>Why suffer through tracks I don't like?
Judging by your picks, this is actually bait but I'll give this a serious answer. Skimming through tracks and deleting tracks that give you a bad first impression is very likely to close you off from some good music. Maybe a moment you skimmed through and thought sounded lame needs the context of the rest of the song to payoff well? Many such songs exist. Same thing with the order of the track listing, some ideas sound cooler when contrasted with something different. Example; "On The Run" from DSOTM maybe isn't a well fleshed out song, but in it's context of acting as a closer for Breathe and a primer for Time it's a cool listen. I'd simply suggest giving every track a full listen and skipping tracks after you've done that. I don't know if you're serious or not man, but in my opinion hearing a record as an artist structured is a big part of understanding what they wanted to convey.
What makes knee socks so great bros? I can't think of any evolutional explainations.
Why not both from time to time?
I wouldn't say it's evolutionary exactly but if I had to take a guess it's because knee high socks are associated with schoolgirls and therefore youth and innocence, two traits typically attractive in women
I did that thread, and that wasn't even what I posted. I said that people who listen to full albums always like to brag and feel superior over people who have their own playlists.
exquisite taste user, you are better of discussing music with the good people of /r/letstalkmusic
Like I said, I couldn't remember what exactly it was. Regardless I found it and didn't get any (you)s so it doesn't matter
