no I don't agree but thats okay everyone is opinion
well its better than division bell for fucking sure
But is it better than Momentary Lapse of Reason and/or Endless River???
I never even botherd with endless river. momentary lapse has its highs but I've listened to piper a lot more in my life.
Im more a waters fag. final cut is the peak
>final cut is peak
That's a bold choice. I don't agree but I respect it.
The Wall is boring garbage shit, I don't know why people even like it. I'd rather listen to Ummagumma 10 times than to listen to another second of The Wall again.
based Scaruffi drone
the live album is good, saucer being better than the studio version. but the 2nd lp seems more filler
Don't forget that Syd Barrett wrote most of The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (8 out of the 11 tracks), so it's really more of a Barrett album if you think about it.
Syd wrote:
Astronomy Domine
Lucifer Sam
Matilda Mother
Flaming
The Gnome
Chapter 24
The Scarecrow
Bike
Waters wrote:
Take Up Thy Stethoscope and Walk
and the entire band wrote:
Pow R. Toc H.
Interstellar Overdrive
syd was the best pink floyd member
Let's also not forget that Syd Barrett also stole the show off A Saucerful of Secrets with the last song he recorded with Pink Floyd "Jugband Blues"
division bell is one of the best pink floyd albums, and high hopes is one of the best pink floyd songs
British mono is BEST version of PATGOD
Certainly their best album that wasn't released in the mid 70s, imo.
>listened to I Want it I Need it so now this is the best Floyd -album poster
shit
*ahem*
>listening to Piper at the Gates of Dawn
>oh this is pretty good so far
>look up what it’s about
>it’s about syd
>turns off
This album is about Syd
it's great, but i prefer animals and atom heart mother
Behold the only correct answer
i agree
there are only 2 good songs, the rest of it is pretty awful. and i fucking HATE another brick in the wall, i can't understand why is it so popular
It’s their most creative album. It’s noticeably tighter than any of their other albums too.
There’s just so much more going on than anthing else they put out. I don’t know how others don’t notice this
>Syd wrote:
the best ones
>Waters wrote:
the worst song on the album
>and the entire band wrote:
the jam tracks, obviously. good stuff.
Who cares if best, they all sucked, and floydfags are oversensitive spergs
Filler? It contains some of the most daring experiments of their entire work.
>if it's experimental, it's good!
No
>Don't forget that Syd Barrett wrote most of The Piper at the Gates of Dawn!
Are you a fucking idiot or what
>if it's experimental, it's bad!
Brilliant thread
His last words alongside the band... sad.
Quote me where I said that
>His last words alongside the band... sad.
No it wasn't. Are you an idiot?
That's like saying your favorite Yes album is Fragile. You think you're being special, but you're not. For me it's More or AHM.
There is no parallel whatsoever.
