Sometimes, you play shows and half the people will be preoccupied or not paying attention, and if you're a baby back bitch this will upset you, but the experienced musicians power through and make it a hell of a show for the few that are listening.

And again, literally none of them have to. Nobody could ever listen to your music again, and that wouldn't be a fault in them. It's not an injustice. It's not something you're owed.

well, I don always want to go to a soundcloud type thread. I don't necessarily want to do the work of checking every post or trying to find some way of picking through them. I do like organic situations in threads where people post shit they've made - I almost always take a look in that case.

Also it's less about constructive criticism (unless somebody asks for it specifically) and more about just sharing your music with one another. Some people actually like to hear new music even if it isn't the absolute most beautiful thing they've ever heard [whatever the fuck that even implies]. I love listening to music and love to hear the creativity that a lot of these artists pour into their music. No matter how poorly mixed some of it may be.
