Prior to Sgt Pepper, are you talking U.S. or British releases?

Worst: The Long And Winding Road

That's my genuine opinion

>Likes wild honey pie and revolution number 9 more than birthday

congrats, 0 correct

Of course i do. Birthday is meaningless, inconsequential shit, while WHP and R9 still have some sort of merit in that they actually reach out of the completely static image that Paul tries to force with songs like that. I genuinely like WHP, i think it's in the upper echelon of songs on the Beatles.

how da fuck is There’s A Place the worst song on Please Please Me?

John: In My Life, Strawberry Fields or Julia. Can’t pick.
Paul: Here, There and Everywhere or For No One
George: Something
Ringo: idk

>Octopus garden worse than the absolute trash that is Maxwell Silver Hammer
No

actually, i wanna revise: Love Me Do is worse.

Both are bad, but i wanna revise and agree with you, yeah. MSH is worse.

They're both pleb filters

John - Across the Universe
Paul - Penny Lane
George - Art of Dying
Ringo - lmao

This Boy is the best Beatles track.

Maxwell is trash. Paul at his worst

>everything bad is a pleb filter!

I always felt like wild honey pie was a cool little filler song whereas birthday is a mediocre song but it's fun and a nice change of pace from the rest of the album. I'm curious why you think WHP is so amazing. You seem like you have cool tastes or you're just memeing

Paul - Every good Beatles song
John - Helping Paul with the lesser half of every good Beatles song
Harrison - While My Butt Gently Weeps
Ringo - Based Octopus' Garden

Nice bait

They're both fine. Octopus' is a cute song about wanting a place away from all the noise and struggle where you can rest and Maxwell's funny because of the combination of granny tune with lyrics about murder. They're not the best songs on Abbey Road of course but neither are the absolute pieces of garbage people make them out to be. Same for Ob La Di on the White Album.

Maxwell is funny indeed. But it's also really bad.
Octopus is a good tune.

WHP is novel simply because of the stylistic change which it inevitably presents. The musical 'image' of the Beatles is turned around in an entertaining and not musically impotent fashion, imo. The brevity of the track adds to the enjoyment.
Ob-La-Di is aeons better than Maxwell.

John: Tomorrow Never Knows
Paul: Helter Skelter
George: Long Long Long
Ringo: Octopus’s Garden
A Day In The Life is my favorite Beatles song, but that’s such a mix of John and Paul I didn’t wanna say it was made definitely by either
I interpreted the OP to be songs written by each Beatle, hence Octopus’s Garden for Ringo (the only other option is Don’t Pass Me By). If you count songs they cover, I prefer Goodnight

ok what's bad about it
not even critics could elaborate on this btw
