Chad Sexton

°°°

1. Ringo Starr
2. Moe Tucker
3. Colm O’Ciscog

Based

I also really love Max Roach, Zach Hill, Damon Che, Bill Bruford and Elvin Jones.

The guy from Porcupine Tree and the guy from King Crimson

Use google image search you retard

that's kinda just 16ths at 120, so

my favorite *percussionist is the one who will eventually join Happy Medusa and get back on tour with me (first percussion moved away much sadness).
it's blues/jazz/prog (18-30 please). got to open for pokey lafarge and guerilla toss, hung out with ghost mice. lots of touring....and yes the facebook/craigslist people are always inebriated, always getting arrested, very creepy etc.

MKULTRA CHAD likes your guitar, thinks your singing could use some thinking about, though isn't terrible, and he enjoys your general structuring and phrasings, but that your drummer egregiously lacks any feel.

no comment on the bassist, though I suppose the simplicity of the bass parts is really whats holding the feel-less playing of the guitar and the feel-less playing of the drums together.
would listen to all seven minutes.

The guy from Ride

Elvin Jones
Based

if youre fav drummer isn't stewart copeland you don't know shit about music

Travis Barker. He's got some pretty interesting patterns and fills, and he keeps up with the other two chodesters of Blink pretty damn well.

The only answer

Attached: 40DC0185-F194-4245-BE28-1E775E49C99B.jpg (400x500, 44K)

Dennis Chambers

i dont listen to the police, wtf makes him that great, i dont notice any cool drum stuff from what little i have heard, give me some tracks that will blow me away.

And don't dismiss me and call me theorylet, i am not saying he is bad i just havent listened to maybe more than 4 police tracks.

ya "birth skeletons" was kinda "middle-school-me". and i've spent almost a decade looking,
sometimes i'll get the "older dude" who is very talented but never wants to do shows on the weekends. much sadness :(
wish me luck user.

yeah, I saw it was older stuff, but thought honest opinions best.
I hope youre making the music youve always wanted.
anything recent?

aslo - the new swans makes my knees weak.

>happymedusamusic.bandcamp.com/track/clouds-spoke-hands

this or "gathering going" are my most recents. sometimes I'll speak to online studio percussion people, but a lot of the time they'll ask for an obtuse amount of money and im kinda broke.

post your music if you're interested

That's merely a reflection of your abysmal knowledge and taste. The John Coltrane Quartet certainly would not have been the same without Elvin Jones.

Attached: gavin harrison.jpg (1280x720, 96K)

Barker is the best pop punk drummer of all time, but that's a low bar.

massive mike portnoy tier kits are for dicklets. if you can't be creative with a 4 piece you're a pussy.

mah nigga

Abe Cunningham
Brendan Canty
William Goldsmith
Zach Barocas
John Stanier
Sara Lund

Autopsy's drummer.

it's about different tones, you can have different sounding snares, cymbals etc

The guy from Porcupine Tree also plays on King Crimson tho

Copeland is God, and the best musician ever, not just drummer.

Attached: stew.jpg (276x183, 10K)

Bill Hicks?

yeah no shit
you still don't need all that shit if you're actually creative

why stop there?
just give yourself a dented piece of sheet metal and a thick cardboard box as your kit

Fucking. This.

ad absurdum, m8. you can do better, right?

I mean why not RAPE ALL THE LITTLE GIRLS so those viscious pedos cant taste their virginal bodies, amirite?

What Gerogerigegege albums was he on?

Based.

tokyo anal dynamite, and that's what trulymatters, one of the best drum performances of all time. 75 songs played rapido and he hardly repeats the same beat. a true achievement in art, endurance, and soul

he was also in sexual behavior of the human male. id have to look it up but he was in quite a few recordings if memory serves me right, enough to be an official member

this is 'solidly supporting' with some 'flair' and a better than average feel.

give me something from the studio where you can hear his nuance and that isn't in fucking half time

you cucks just like his beard and the fact he plays drums

and THANK YOU FOR POSTING MUSIC, KIND user

this is good enough to be in a MKULTRA CHAD drum thread.

Nice to see a couple Sara Lund mentions, she's very impressive.

You are having a weirdly aggressive response to my posting of Levon Helm. I like him because of how his vocals and drumming mesh together, it gives his playing a very unique rhythm and intonation compared to when Danko or Manuel would sing.
youtube.com/watch?v=h_7q9_EJYvE

>aggressive
guy, that's the typing and your imagination inventing context clues which are wholely absent from the present social medium.
I gave quite a fair assessment of Levon's drumming in the live clip, and even went out of my way to thank you, as a pre-emptive gesture quelling any auto-aggro default responses to, of all things, my criticizing the musicianship of some old dude in a forty year old video.

to be fair, Im not really interested in assessing someone's singing as part of their musicianship as a drummer. im going to guess you are.

regardless, id lke to hear a great levon recording where all his ghosts and buzzes are actually audible.

You did call me a cuck and I'd like an apology for that. I just wanted to talk about music.

My Ipad

you?

no, I called everyone else on Yea Forums a cuck - which you totally know is the case, and youre taking it personally, which is totally understandable.

I'll apologize for calling you a cuck - which I didn't, really, because I wouldn't call someone a cuck who actually posted fucking music in a fucking drum thread, provided you apologize for that whole "nar nar aggressive'" idiocy.

loz colbert
jimmy chamberlin
bill berry

youtu.be/KCvgkDjUR24

well , I already love the dirty three, but ok . ..

This is amicable. I apologize. I am not a cuck nor an idiot.

Zach Hill transcends drumming. He’s a fully formed artist.

I have many jokes. . . which I will save for another user.

My apologizes for any misunderstanding. again, thank you for posting the music. honestly, I hear about levon all the time and am honeslty looking for a dope drum track.

Kind of an unconventional pick considering he's not primarily a drummer even, but he was so fucking good and really creative

Attached: put your hands up.jpg (987x1266, 308K)

weasel walter, very based. he is from my home town, aka the city that only 5% of america is worse than according to crime and poverty statistics. christ it's a hellhole

my most sincere apologies for the fucking typos

Carl Palmer
Bill Bruford
John Bonham

Basic dadrock stuff (even though ELP is momrock)

>Abe Cunningham

nice choices

Had to come to say:

Sara Lund
Jimmy Chamberlin
Jon Theodore

Arthur Hnatek, Anton Eger, Mark Guiliana, Nate Smith, Ari Hoenig, Dave Weckl, Lukas König, Perrin Moss, Pipi Piazzolla, Charlie Zeleny, Bobby Jarzombek, Billy Rymer, Thomas Pridgen, Danny Walker, Elliot Hoffman, Tomas Haake.

I know this is a basic bitch answer, but I really like the way John Bonham played. Also find Zach Hill's playing style very entertaining.

One of these two. Neither is the most technically proficient drummer in the world, but it's hard to find anyone who goes harder.

Ok

you seem triggered

this so much. His drumming on KIMB and PSBWB is fucking legendary
