I've been doing this project for a couple of weeks now where I make a piece of music that is 1 minute long, every week. It's supposed to be a piece to wake up to (so an alarm clock), based on the rationale that the default alarms on your phone are ass.

The three songs you have up are pretty good. Synths especially have this wonky feel to them that helps make them stand out and engaging. Production on them is incredibly varied, your vocals sound like they have a little too much reverb but it's otherwise cool stuff.

I love how you recorded the guitar twice for each ear, reminds me a lot of a similar technique people do in rap with voice.

This is heavy as fuck, it feels like theirs a lot of empty space in the mix, like you could really use a bassist. That's just what I think though. It's actually just bass and drums. Im trying to find a way fill space like you say. If i ever do it live i would just run my rig stereo with a lot of distortion. This is honestly just a side thing though.

I made a thread about this initially, but I think it would probably be more appropriate in a soundcloud thread.

How important is it to be authentic and true to yourself when making music, whether it be your lyrics, sound, or direction in general. Is it important to do your own thing despite what other people might think? I'm in a perpetual state of existential crisis, and I don't know whether or not I should put more effort into music. It's the only real thing that brings me intrinsic joy.
