this might be a bit early, but could you guys recommend me your absolute favorite albums from this decade before it ends?
i've created a top 10 list (pic related) yet i feel like i've only scratched the surface of what the past 9.75 years have to offer. i'm making this post now to give the recs a chance to digest before i jump the gun.

Have you heard Dwarfs album "Rats Don't Eat Synthesizers?" Not as popular or long as Bestsellers, but a lot more enjoyable for me personally. Especially if you're a fan Sun City Girls.

Honestly I'm not a fan of it. I find the mix of musical influences on Bes to be a lot more interesting.
Brandon Gomez
to each his own i guess, but i respectfully disagree. Bes always seemed overly long to me and doesn't have the same kinetic energy as Rats Don't Eat Synths
Jose Reyes
LCD Soundsystem - This is Happening (2010) OGRE You Asshole! - homely (2011) Converge - All Love We Leave Behind (2012) The Drones - I See Seaweed (2013) The Body - I Shall Die Here (2014) Everything Everything - Get to Heaven (2015) The Dillinger Escape Plan - Dissociation (2016) Zola Jesus - Okovi (2017) Daughters - You Won't Get What You Want (2018)
2019 is a toss up right now, since I have yet to hear a few albums I'm pretty excited for. But of what I've heard so far this year it's Blanck Mass - Animated Violence Mild (2019). That could be overtaken by a release yet to come however.
i made a chart of my favorite releases from every year. the first tier is one album per year, the second is one, sometimes two per year, and the third is two sometimes three per year, with no entries from 2019 and four from 2018. because i really haven't enjoyed a lot of music from 2019 yet.
oops a mistake lcd soundsystem was among the best in 2010 but OPN's returnal outclasses it.
Evan Jackson
based ogre poster, homely is criminally underrated
Cooper Parker
criminally. i'm pretty excited for the new album, even though everything since homely has been kinda meh. one of the two promo tracks was really good, and the other sucked. i just checked and the album is actually out now, i'm gonna go listen to it.
