Looking for any and all feedback I can get, I really want to know where I can improve structurally and as far as texture and atmosphere go.
I really like the use of sampling in the SpiderMan stuff. I scrolled through the rest of your page and break free is really cool the way you move from all electronic to the drums at the end. #25 is really nice too, I like the atmospheric stuff.
Do you have any suggestions on how to build out a sample library or what kind of sounds to look for?
great job guys!
...
this owns! will listen to speak fraser all way through i think, might get back to you. waiting for those synths. love the recording/room ambience here... feels immediate in a way i've been trying to accomplish with synth stuff. maybe i'll just put the different channels on different speakers in a room and record it "live"...
as others have said, good energy, good compression sausage hehe although i guess it's distortion. did you listen to ceres and calypso in the deep time? they have the same kinda overdriven sound, absolutely adore it.
that said, there's a mismatch iMho between the drive and the mood of the chords/melody, but thats highly subjective i guess.
not a big fan of the album art.

Im really digging some of these tracks. I dont know who to guess the influence is.. maybe the microphones and some contemporary classical stuff. Very chilll
like bloc party but lofi. pretty unique, i feel like it could benefit from going in and out of lofi and crispy but thats just imo. Like crispier instrumentals lofi vocals with the Strokes kinda thing going on would be dope
this is pretty rad. I like the tension it builds, the whole thing has a teetering, gonna fall over feel to it.
thank u for the feedback, i heard ur track and i love the driving modular groove but similar to ur criticism to me, i do feel like those dissonant echoy undertones later into the song doesnt compliment the original groove. the textures here r hella good tho also yes ive heard ceres and calypso and love it

i never expected my love for bloc party to shine through on a track like this, embarrassing for me. listening to ur ep now, danceable as fuck
This is SO good. I love everything about the first two tracks. The atmosphere is great, the feels it generates are comfy and nostalgia and I don't have a single negative thing to say about any of it.

Still love the groove in your music, always glad to see your pic
The link that goes with this pic is the key to some seriously dope beats, better ask him about it :^)
I'm feeling quite low desu. In a bit of a motivational slump as of late. My DAW constantly freezes as I'm making music, which pisses me the fuck off. I feel stuck.

I'm guessing you are influenced by most modern trap artists. Is there one in particular?
I'm guessing you like 100 Gecs to some extent? Maybe they influenced you?
I'm guessing some dub influence. Maybe Burial?
I'm gonna lazypost ITT.

I just like to post
well then don't post retarded dubbi shit. we all like the dvd gnome stuff.
Why is every thread talking about dubbi 24/7
He’s been paying shills to post for him
Seriously? What the fuck. He's schizophrenic, how can he afford to do that?
>implying dubbi has never made a single cent from bandcamp and isn’t a successful gigging dj

He has a whole album of live performances, so maybe he is. But I highly highly highly doubt it.

So I'm in a band, well was in a band for four plus years, released an album and was working on another. We had a really good keyboardist join us in the beginning of 2019 and eventually he quit causing the entire band to fall apart. I have demos/some final cuts from the album we were working on since January up into August.
If anybody's interested I'm willing to share a google drive folder of it warts and all. It's nothing too special but I figured atleast I'd try to share it somewhere since it will never be released. Haven't posted on Yea Forums in years.
TL;DR my band broke up and I got a folder of demos to share if anybodys interested.
Gonna continue getting drunk off of cheap red wine.
this is awesome. Yea Forums has upped its game in terms of actually talented people posted
didn't expect this, also awesome

that song would be dope if it had drums
I hear influence from Death Grips, AnCo, Aphex Twin, maybe just older vidya soundtracks in general?
Guess noboby's interested, didn't even get my dubs checked...
Just post it bro.
also, nice dubs
I'm working on doing drum loops now for stuff I'm making. Sorta hard to get a drummer when you are a full time college student and everyone is into hard rock.
I know how you feel I'm a senior in college and the drummer in my band just quit

Sounds like it takes heavy influence from John Maus' first album, mainly judging this by the very heavy reverb and echo on the vocals. Speaking of which, I think there might be a little too much of that since on songs like All the Things and Bad Intentions, it's really hard to make out the lyrics. The instrumentals sound nice on the ears though.

>You will hate this
>Hybrid orchestral cover
Thank you so much for listening. I haven't ever listened to John Maus, so no influence from there. I should probably check his music out though, looks promising.
I listened to "Technicians". Loved that sexy guitar tone and your vocals are beautiful. No need to wash them out in reverb like me lmao. Followed you.
The only ones I could really get into by him are his first and third albums. The one song those two reminded me of was the last track on his first album, a lot slower, but definitely has some nice reverb vocals and resonating synths.
