Music Promotion

Man I am tired of posting in the SC shill threads. After a lot of posting I have only gained one subscriber. Where the hell can I promote my music? I understand the idea of sending demos to people - but the type of music I am trying to promote right now is illegal(sample based) and it has to be self promoted. I just want to get some views on my shit. Any ideas fellas?

Make a music video if you post on YouTube
Make sure its either funny or so immensely bad people make fun of it

that was my first upload, the only video I have made so far. Everybody in my house watched it, but not so many people who don't live with me found it, unfortunately.

brand yourself dumbass, dont expect your music alone to take you anywhere. hop on social media and try to build up an audience. send your shit into as many blog sites as you possibly can to get written up about and gain exposure. none of us can help you with that, you need to work on it yourself if you really want it

There are enough people on Yea Forums that if we all spread it to a few people anything can take off

Yea but I don't think you should be relying on Yea Forums alone. I would definitely urge you to hustle more and attack from every possible angle. Playing shows, trying to spread word, and trying to gain traction on your own accord

There's ton of blogs around depending on what your niche is. I would even send stuff into sites that might be a little out of reach because you never know how people are going to react to what it is you do. Big net is my point.

Do what you can, even if you have to rework stuff. Unfortunately it's nearly impossible to make a music career out of content alone nowadays

I mean... I guess there would be some live stuff I could do. It's mostly sample based music and crazy shit but I do play some instruments in some of them. I'll have to think some more about this. thanks man

You need to have friends who support you or a family with enough money to throw at any thinkable problem. It sucks and it damages the quality of music due to the way it divides your attention by anything and everything that has nothing to do with music, but this is the way things are.
If you want to do anything with any amount of integrity, you have to take one for the team, eat whatever cost and spend your evenings making damned sure you are really fucking good.

use submithub, I know its pay to submit, but real music blogs will listen and give feedback, and I've gotten an album reposted with like 2k+ views as a nobody.

Also go play shows around your area, and str8 up connect with the other musicians on Yea Forums , maybe collab or just anything,

but honestly anything can work, it's a new era where nobody knows an exact way to gain an audience, be creative, really think of how YOU would be convinced to be a fan of your music

submithub is good. you can also literally just look for blogs. figure out your keywords of what describes you. just spend like an hour on google and make a list
