How different would 70s and 80s music in general be if he had survived that long?

He would've sold out and been creatively spent by 1972. Dying was the best thing that could've happened to his career.

He would've made funk music, on Jah.

hard acid rock funk would have been amazing

Based and vomitasphyxiationpilled

he was finna join ELP

That Miles Davis/Tony Williams/Paul McCartney super group.

jimi hendrix - smooth (featuring rob thomas)

this post reminded me that I did a presentation on Jimi Hendrix in the fourth grade and I talked about how he died in detail. Why did they let me do that?

Based and childhoodtraumapilled

I don’t know. His Miles Davis/Paul McCartney supergroup could have been interesting

>tfw HELP could've been a thing

probably this

he was planning to collaborate with miles davis and paul mccartney. probably this would mean psychedelia and jazz fusion would be bigger in the 70's.

He would have washed up and been angry at the 80s shredders and SRV being much tighter than him. He would have embarassed himself. Dying young was a good thing.

Listen to band of gypsies then or the purple box set.

In 6th grade in debates I was assigned to be pro-slavery and I went first and made the girl I was against cry.

holy shit what did you say

probably wouldnt have been too mainstream, would have strayed more to the fusion/funk/even maybe george-clinton-y kind of niche music thats made for other musicians more than it is for the mainstream.

Well it was greek debates not blacks and they gave us cards of pros to it and I completely went of card because I thought their points were weak. I argued that they were wartime slaves and that it is better to live a slave than for us to kill you so you should consider yourself lucky at our mercy and if you are a good slave and you adopt our culture we may eventually free you and allow you to become a citizen. I also said that we should show no mercy for them because war is expensive and it helps offset our campaign there and they wanted to kill us anyway. But I delivered it hard like she was too dumb to understand that and think logistically. The card was pretty much just financial pros but I went with fuck them they're the enemy and should consider themselves lucky we didn't kill them and captured them instead as well as that we greeks are safer with them captave than plotting and running about threatening our citizens with violence again.

>and been creatively spent by 1972
He already was. Look at his posthumous albums.

what did the teacher do

Probably the same. He would have probably gone the Jefferson route and made shitty soft rock with a little more guitar solos. In the best case scenario he would have had an unsuccessful fusion venture like Santana did.

Well I won the debate because she cried and gave up. He consoled her and I got a good grade. He probably removed slavery from the assignment for the next year though. Thankfully it was a male teacher so he understood that boys aged 12 pull the legs off of spiders and burn ants and don't understand empathy yet. Lord knows what would have happened if I had had a woman teacher.

I still remember struggling through english classes until I got a male teacher who told me that all I had to do was bullshit and make things up because I complained that reading into symbolism didn't make sense because there was nothing there. Thank you Mr. LaMonica.

I also got a c on a paper on the holocaust in 8th grade because the prompt was what did I learn and I wrote all the facts of each death camp and about mendels experiments and those debunked human skin lamps. My parents fucking ruined my whole weekend making me revise it and then that dumb cunt Ms. O'Horo told me my parents wrote it, gave me a C but said it was college level, and then told me what she wanted was for me to write that I learned not to discriminate not just facts.

you went to a way cooler school than me it sounds like
