brian eno is good tho
youtube.com
I'm a big fan of this one. Not sure if this is the one that the guy from Today Is The Day remastered.
youtube.com
Found this randomly and thought it was pretty good cold feeling ambient
I'm not op but I really enjoy ambient and drone music, it's my favourite genre but I also don't see the appeal of Brian Eno.
I will post some albums from my collection.
A classic:
youtube.com
Repostan from the last thread, another one from Pausal, my 2017 AOTY.
listened to this today, lovely stuff
Rip Oophoi.
youtube.com
One of my top ambient album even though it's kinda repetitive, this one brings me a lot of happy memories, I felt in love with this album since the first time I listened in 2011.
youtube.com
Another one from Loscil.
youtube.com
loscil and lusine have some great remixes. i really enjoyed loscil's new album
youtube.com
Wow, I didn't know that Loscil released a new album, I'll surely listen to it later, thanks for telling by the way.
An old release with a mix of ambient, dub and world music.
A side project by The Caretaker.
Another top ambient album of mine that reminds me of great memories that I had in the past.
I really only like Grouper. If you're a man making ambient music, I'd like to ask you where your balls went.
>relaxing music is feminine
>i don't care if it's shitty, it's made by a girl
>i don't know anything about ambient
>i believe balls are associated with genres
nig, you dead
prepared piano stuff, pretty nice
>brian eno is good tho
youtube.com
Honestly, when I'm stressed sometimes I just can't stand anyone talking or singing so I rather stick with ambient music without vocals.
music in general is only made by men
the rest is just coquetry, mere pretense to seduce men or nowadays to please the hebraic masters in their propaganda machines
Dustin O'Halloran is one of my favourite pianists
>music in general is only made by men
do you live under a rock?
best ambient woman ever
youtube.com
Based, he is very good indeed.
youtube.com
Transcendent
Pretty cool mix of ambient, glitch, and folktronica by this Chinese artist. One of my all time favorites. youtube.com
The ambient side of dub techno is also a personal favorite youtu.be
>I have good taste because i dislike what other people like
This is the best ambient album ever created.
Definitely my favorite thing Leyland Kirby has ever done. Such a powerfully melancholic album.
silkiest album ever made
youtube.com
based
Based, got this one in the mail today along with its companion disc Love Is A Dream (w/ Xela)
Jefre is vastly underrated.
youtube.com
amazing drone dark-amb album

jfc this thread reminds me of snappy meme text
stop spamming

1) The last one wasn't me, and should've been obvious given the different format (mine all include bandcamp link & the images are practically all titled 'cover'.
2) This is an ambient thread. I am sharing ambient recs, from different artists and different labels - ie my posts are completely relevant and not in any way self-promoting.
3) You're namefagging and calling other people cringe.
cringe.
4) You didn't even have the decency to format your only rec. No image, no link, no album rec, just the artist's name, you lazy git. At least it was a decent rec.
cringe
all Disintegration Loops by Wiliam Basinski are pretty amazing
Two Things:
>Name good Ambient
Substrata - Biosphere

>No Brian Eno
Are you fucking deaf. Music For Airports is brilliant. Get off Yea Forums
you're spamming

how tf am I spamming cunt my posts are relevant and not self-promoting. at the very least accuse me of having shit taste, at least that could be up for debate. I'm categorically not spamming.
good recs thanks
fpbp
Who /basscommunion/ here?
northernelectronics.bandcamp.com
If you queue this up for a relaxing listen, don't forget to remove the 'The Lapin King' track, total vibe killer.
stop posting
mind telling me why you don't like my recs?
Do you live in reality?
do you know what the word 'only' means?
oh wow would you look at that, you killed the damn thread
A haunting dark ambient piece to break the ice, this is one of my top dark ambient albums.

sunn.bandcamp.com
still waiting for a reason for me to stop posting
varg the goat
vf thread
It's valhalla/strymon bigsky reverb tier. No melody or composition to it.
shortwavetransmission.bandcamp.com
you coulda been more specific, I took that as criticism of all of the recs I've made in the thread, not just that one.
also a lot of the recs I've been making in the thread I have tried to tailor to the unimaginative drone junkies I know are lurking.
I was almost about to post Blank Embrace, oliviaway, overscape and Everly Pale for that crowd too.
it's too much of one person, you are flooding the thread so others can't look at different people's picks. ya dig?
youtube.com
neat, good rec of something I didn't know of before.
I guess so but how else am I meant to interact with the thread? I'm still managing to listen to pretty much everyone else's recs to get a feel for them, and giving as much feedback to other posters as they are giving to mine (ie practically fuck all).
at least bleep is fun to look at once you dig in yfm
try going for a walk outside
youtube.com
The Haxan Cloak... I still remember listening to Excavation for the first time around 2013 like it was yesterday, time really flies, it was my first dark ambient album.
not good
loki-found.bandcamp.com
fine
>it was my first dark ambient album
mine was this though this was also a gateway pic related came soon after.
if you say not good, you think is good but now very good or good and poor
two things happen here, one you flood the thread and nobody is going to be able to go through all of these which is sort of like being a hog for attention about all your recs instead of a natural progression of varied people. two, you are causing the thread to unnaturally reach its post limit. it would be fine to leave a comment or two, but this is you just listing your bandcamp picks and making it much harder to go through the thread when you could have just listed 50 bandcamp artists in one post and if anyone cares, they'll look. i am surely not going to look at one single bandcamp because that's not what the thread was supposed to be for
>sort of like being a hog for attention about all your recs
I'm anonymous. Bit of a shit grab. My intention with sharing these recs has always been to give other anons pointers to stuff I think they might like.
>you are causing the thread to unnaturally reach its post limit
how is that a problem? if one ambient thread reaches post limit, start another. what's the alternative? I've watched the thread slide down 2 pages while typing this. you'd either have to start a new ambient thread because the last reached post limit, or because the last got bumped off the board for being inactive.
>i am surely not going to look at one single bandcamp because that's not what the thread was supposed to be for
OP never specified youtube either. OP said this was an ambient thread, I've posted ambient. the fact that most of it has been on bandcamp should be immaterial, it's just convenient for me to do it that way since not all of my recs are on youtube, but since I buy most of my music on bandcamp, practically all of it is on bandcamp and available to be streamed there. it's not as if these recs would be more suitable in a bandcamp thread given those are mainly for self promotion and promoting the odd incredibly small indie artists.
and what do you honestly think is more in the spirit of the thread. recs, or us wasting the post limit arguing about shit like this?
I don't even know how to describe this album, it changes a lot from track to track. This track starts with some fast paced guitar sounds, then it changes to some glitchy ambient and start to progress into a very catchy comfy jazz.
jesus christ, you're a completely inconsiderate asshole. why don't you make your own thread and post by yourself in it
gg, you've just wasted another 2 of the thread's post limit being a bitch about me posting ambient recs in an ambient thread
why do I even bother with you cunts, all you do is dick ride brian eno, tim hecker, bengalfuel and aphex twin and then complain when people post something else
learn how to funpost
the complaint is endless posting, not what you post. if you feel it's a chore, then go do something in another setting where you'll be appreciated for extra effort. here is your typical lazy ambient thread that doesn't need 75 bandcamp albums in a row
Y’all is fake posers
the fact that all of those recs came from me shouldn't matter. either you don't realise they're all from me, treat them like recs from other/different people, and it's no different than if multiple people had posted those recs.
or you do realise they're all from me, and you can skip over them to listen to recs you think are from other people.
but I still can't understand why you're so fucking precious about the post limit when you and that daft fucking namefag are happy to instigate the bitching at me without simultaneously contributing recs. I'm just playing along now. you want to argue and waste the space in this thread mouthing off, be my guest
buddy, you're hopeless
buddy, you keep on replying to me instead of getting back on topic and posting recs, the ball's in your court.
lol inni
