really fucking good. the range from sweet acoustic to proto-headbanging...all driven by superb musicianship and visionary producing lead to quite a juggernaut. The get dinged fro their appropriations (perhaps rightly so) but they took those originals and rightful inspiration and made them something completely different and brilliant in their own right.

I like everything from Deep Purple, Sabbath, to stuff like AC/DC, Nugent, etc even some more poppy shit and punky shit. I've HEARD every Zeppelin album because it was constantly played around me and the people I hung out with all loved Led Zeppelin, so I'm familiar with all their shit, it's just that I never on my own time want to listen to them, there was just nothing that ever hooked me, I don't mind if I hear it but I never put it on by my own choice or to listen alone

Just having any one of their 4 members would make any group a decade top 10-band. Them 4 together is just silly. Only group to take the crown from Beatles. And then actually never losing it to anyone since they forfeited it when Bonzo died.
By comparison given the "short" length of their career the band I consider to be almost at the same level, Pink Floyd, wouldn't even had released The Wall if given the same time.

John Paul Jones is the only member in that band with any fucking talent. Everyone else sucks. Bonham was a sloppy drunk piece of shit. Page is sloppy as fuck and uninteresting. Plant sounds like a cat slowly having his balls ripped off like a paper towel.
