you all good user?
Not even the best song on the album, maybe 3rd
I don't think this is a pissing contest. But John is the third best Beatle
Can't handle all this edge. Ouch
>But John is the third best Beatle
What is this ranking about? Singing, songwriting?
1 Ringo
2 Lennon
3 McChicken
4 Hairy balls
1 Octopus
2 Heeeeaavvy
3 GS/Carry/End
MLC (major league cope)
It is just an objective truth... PM>GH>WB>RS

6. Ringo
7. Pete Best
Paul was the best musician. Although, John was by far the best songwriter, so I'll give you that.
>John was by far the best songwriter
why is this always insisted? All of my favorite songs are mostly Paul. I would say they are equal but I find Paul better. John may have been a better musician but I don't think that true is either
>why is this always insisted?
Because all of my favorite Beatles songs are mostly John's.
>John may have been a better musician
Definitely not.
CPR
okay I see the dilemma here. People who like either John or Paul respectively regard their songs as "better" but can concede that the other was a better musician although there were all mostly equal considering no classical/technical training.
I mean we all know the story of the time that John Lennon made a french horn(sic?) player quit recording during "A day in the Life" because John was being a dickhead and couldn't grasp the concept that the he was asking the horn player to play outside of his register
>People who like either John or Paul respectively regard their songs as "better"
Not really. I like John's music, not John. >they were all mostly equal
Paul was clearly a superior musician, by many reasons.
>A Day In The Life
At least John gave the amazing idea of the orchestral crescendo, so he's cool.
that was John's idea and not Martin's? Either way it is pretty chilling and awesome
>To fill the empty 24-bar middle section, Lennon's request to George Martin was that the orchestra should provide "a tremendous build-up, from nothing up to something absolutely like the end of the world".[45]
where is that from? Not saying I doubt it at all. I am just interested in Beatles' literature. I read Geoff Emerick's (EMI engineer) autobio with the Beatles for a class I took
lmao I'm not OP, I only posted the Octopus's Garden one
Walter Everett's The Beatles as Musicians: Revolver Through The Anthology
nice. It was cool because Geoff Emerick actually came to speak to the class. I can only describe this professor as a stalker fan who even had glasses and a scruffy hair top unironically
this is the only correct ranking
1. Ringo
2. George
3. Paul
4. John
>hurr durr the ugliest and most replaceable is obviously best
