cute. i like the tone of that harpsichord style instrument on the interlude a lot. i like the song take my hand in gibbon land a lot. sounds fun. i like the structure of the songs, the guitar tone is kind of bland imo.
It is meant to work as a whole, so it's better listening to the full album
>little pop concept/opera >psychedelic inspired >peculiar female vocals >experimental and a bit weird >lots of woodwinds and mellotron sounds >old style inspired production >independent

Luke White
Could be way "Darker" If you're a guy who's trying to be cute.. That's absolutely pathetic! You need to learn to take people's advice. You could go way more extreme with your style , but yo, Spotify? You know what I'm about to say. I can tell you're a pretty obsessive fan of mine, I love hearing my sound being copied by amateur musicians. Go more glitchy with your style Post a link gomez >indie SKIP you could get even crazier with your noisyness Post a picture next time...... we don't open links without pictures. You need to hire a band, I know some people. DM me on instagram (@dj_dubbi OR @faqqi_lives ) The problem I have with 99% of "musicians" who sample other people's work is LONG. The thing is with these digital sound sampling devices, back in the day my sh!t was ANALOG bro, do you even know what analog means? Whatever, these digital systems are, we are told, music mimics par excellence, able to render the whole orchestral panoply, plus all that grunts, or squeaks. The noun "sample" is, in our comodified culture,pre-fixed by the adjective free, FREE. as in STEALING. So now you're lying about being an artist and if one is to consider predicating this subject, perhaps some thinking aloud on what is not allowable auditory appropriation is to be heard. Some of you, current and potential samplerists are confused, I KNOW you're confused, and it's about the extent to which you can legally borrow from the ingredients of other people's sonic manifestations. Like myself, you may covet something similar to a particular chord played and recorded singularly well by the strings of the estimable Eastman Rochester Orchestra on a long-deleted Mercury Living Presence LP of Charles Ives' Symphony #3 and you're thinking "Oh no, welp here's another song down the DRAIN".
I'm not dubbi. I am another musician and quite frankly - a fan
Josiah Parker
im dubbi and u all suck !
Cameron Stewart
How is every thread hijacked by a literal clown every time. Every damn time.
I'm trying to get attention for my hard work, but all any one wants to do is post memes and jokes about a retard making Trap Metal and Dubstep.
What the actual fuck.
Jayden Flores
>being a fan of dubbi how could you possibly like his trash ass music. I've never listened to it but it must be horse shit.
Carson Nguyen
are you dubbi by any chance?
Anthony Walker
>2019 >liking an artist for their "music"
Justin Bennett
Always reccing this
Luke Thompson
I like his charisma
Levi Peterson
You're stupid. But ok let's follow your train of thought. There's literally nothing likeable about him. He's a bully, he constantly criticizes everyone's hard work. He dresses up as a clown apparently, he's schizophrenic, he's narcissistic, I think he's racist too. Like?? What can you like about him??
Aaron Flores
He has no charisma, read this
Jackson Cooper
no its just funny that you guys don't understand the concept of trolling and still get mad at dubbi
Owen White
he has good collabs
Justin Bennett
yeah let's call him that from now on
Brody Gutierrez
What collabs? You mean the bazillion features on all his crappy dubstep songs?
He's not trolling, he's being a literal bully. Know the difference.
Ethan Bailey
He goes out of his way to put in more effort than everyone else to critique every musician's posts even if those musicians themselves don't do that with theirs. He also makes his own music and shares it with us.
Justin Campbell
haha yeah this is dubbi and yes i'm 12 (sunglass face emoji x3)
Cameron King
yeah but people getting mad at it isn't gonna make it stop. it just makes him want to troll more.
Elijah Gutierrez
Wrong. It takes no effort to say mean stuff. We actually put effort into responding to each other, how could you even think he puts the most effort in?
hey whats up! any percussion in the midwest looking for a band to join? Happy Medusa's 1st percussion moved away :( Searching for a replacement. Fun things so far include opening for pokey lafarge, guerilla toss and hung out with ghost mice. Looking for a comrade to get back on tour with me. Use the bandcamp contact form if interested, im down to skype.
telling me my music sucks and how my guitars aren't heavy enough isn't a critique.
Gavin Thompson
let's be real if you know how to read dubbi he is one of the most dedicated and talented entertainers in these threads and if you don't he's probably pretty annoying
Landon Lopez
>entertainers you legitimately think he does this for entertainment?
Jaxon Cruz
Considering that he's always switching between different names/youtube channels/ soundcloud accounts before they reach any proper amount of followers makes me think it isn't about getting famous off of trolling. I subscribed to his dj dubbi youtube a week ago and he's already uploading music videos on a new channel.
well i think he entertains himself this way and in doing so he creates entertainment for us. you see, we're in what some are calling the "information age" and everything's crazy now,
Jonathan Sullivan
I guess he's the poster child for the internet giving literally anybody the ability to make and distribute music.
Xavier Murphy
classic on-line move. like i said, everything's crazy in this era of social media. dubbi is just making pitstops on the information superhighway, akin to his predescessors like Soulja Boi
William Mitchell
lmao who the hell made those?
Kayden Cook
no that's not it
Henry Mitchell
me
Carter Clark
once again im not dubbi your joke was just not funny.
Ethan Ward
then what is it? because that's definitely it.
Ethan Scott
he's not a poster child he's just a childish poster ayooooooooooo
Brayden Walker
Only dubbi hates on me this much
Anthony Wood
well now 2 people do ig
Jayden Morales
lmao
Jeremiah Brown
How about instead of obsessing over dubbi and ruining the thread we go back to talking about and reccing real music. This guy is making amazing stuff and is getting no recognition because of that clown.
This is me in a band if you're curious >Indie rock/pop/alt rock >artsy here and there >Jangle >For fans of Sebadoh, Beat Happening, The Pixies popspirit.bandcamp.com/album/brighter-plan
Sometimes I like to do music by myself other times I like playing music with others it's really based on what I want for the songs or who is available. The next You Are Something True release is going to be 7 or 8 songs and they'll have a friend playing some great drums on them and I might have some other players and singers too. Thanks for listening.
soundcloud.com/cosmiczero873/smashing-pumpkins-rip-off-number-145 >indie rock >emo >mineral get up kids ish I also have an ep right here soundcloud.com/cosmiczero873/sets/already-heard-ep Which is a lot more pop punk ish in like a Remo Drive/Car Seat Headrest sort of way then the new song Really good, theirs just some parts were the vocals could be just a little more in key but still pretty good. Again as you said very New Order and the poppiest side of the Cure ish (in a good way). And holy shit this is good too. Other recs I already said positive things about in other threads
>Really good, theirs just some parts were the vocals could be just a little more in key but still pretty good. Might sound like a cliché or cop out but I like the way my voice sounds dipping out of key it just sounds more "real." Some of my favorite singers are people like Tim Kinsella, Wayne Coyne, and Daniel Johnston who are all very unconventional. I also really enjoy Peter Gabriel who to me is a very technically talented and unique singer so I like it both ways.
>And holy shit this is good too. Thanks, I'm really happy with how that album came out. I wrote the songs but my friends really make that album with their performances for me.
Daniel Perry
Blah blah blah You really need to use more fuz pedals. How many do you use? HAHA What kind of poser makes emo in 2019?? Copypasta Fire all the members and get a better group of musicians You need to Learn how to boost your bass. I can help you out quite a bit if you ask, but for now what you need to focus on is Making great bass patches. to make a beginner bass, get a defult patch in Harmor, turn the low-pass on A to 10% and 0% on B, and then turn the Sub up on both A and B, next turn on some slight distortion and then EQ the sub in the mixer up all the way.
Wow. It could be... Why not? I can tell you're a huge fan of my recent dj dubbi techno stuff like: youtu.be/F9AOfFcyPsU But don't compress your shit to hard.
