so minimalist of promo, it's like you almost have to squint at the shilling. makes me question how i go about things here.

oki feel like typing soo
im in my file browser with a file that i want to sample, per say, so im gonna bring this file into the daw, loading it into one pad, then im gonna chop the sample out so i can play it. i pretty much always cut the sample to an evenly-looping segment iykwim and then slice it in *even* segments, 4, 8, 16 or whatever depending on the length, i.e. dont chop at the beginning of each word, just use auto-slice after making sure your sample loops properly.
i would usually program like a simple drum beat here and then play the sample pads until i figure out how to make some kind of cool sounding pattern or whatever. but then i would usually erase that drum beat and play another one over the sampler loop that ill actually end up using. i have my favorite drum pack that i picked out over the ages which i mostly just add effects to taste for each track
now im gonna load up my bass synth and maybe another synth? i like to use patches that i developed myself and when you take some time to figure out how that shit works you can make the sounds you want pretty easily. i got the deep noise i like to use for a bass and it's got some effects on there to make it sound cool that ive already picked out before and saved on it. ill put a bass line that goes with the sample, then ill load up that other synth i have one that i like to use for chords and some that i like to use for melodies or whatever i find that the bass im using usually sounds cool at higher octaves so i will just use that too sometimes. also i like using that the classic nextel chirp sound but like blur it out a little and that can make a pretty cool mid to high pitch instrument. i dont really like to use the sequence to try to start ideas, so ill play everything on the 64 pads (i am doing all this on the ipad) and then touch it up if i feel like it really needs it... CONT!~
Wyatt Nelson
CONTT'D:
when i have something i think sounds cool usually i have an idea of what else i want to do with it, so im gonna make some more drum parts, im gonna go back and make different parts for the bass and the synths and the sample so we can break up the monotony. i try to have two sections and a bridge if were lucky but lets be real a lot of the time i leave it at one section cause im just here to hvae fun.
if i am feeling very ambitious i lay sections out in the track-view editor jawn but that is not really very fun so i like to just record the daw audio output and play the sections on the uhhh section-view? ableton guys know what i mean? ofc you do. clips view. whatever it's called
sometimes i get it just right, but sometimes i do sometime pretty retarded which is i open up the daw output track in my djay app and play the song back just how i want it, applying effects and switching sections live. this is also when ill add lyrics cause i like to put popular rap vocals on my tracks to make them more familiar to the casual listner. (when i do my own vocals i have a secret method for making them sound fucked up that i havent quite perfected yet)_ anyway i record the output of that dj software to a file and that's what i upload on soundcloud
tldr? yu a bitch my friend ayy you alredy know who it is peace love unity respect bb and sweet dreams every night forever

>Spotify
Yo.., Bro, no offence but spotify
will destroy your career, or I
should say your attempt at
one before it even begins.
Spotify's whole gameplan is
to securely steal music from
artists and then when that
artist disappears they rebrand
the music under a new name.
Basically like what the industry
did with Lady GaGa but now it's
Spotify doing it and no one knows
You still wish you could be me. Embarrassing.... HA!
imbeddy is pathetic
Your music needs heavier guitars
>spoken word
Oh you mean "lazy rapping"

& Put more effort in.

I didn't really like your last two tracks too much (My Cold Love I enjoyed more on a repeated listen), but this stripped-down sound works a lot better in my opinion. Might also be due to the song having a rawer sound and mix compared to the increased production on the other two, but this is my favorite of yours so far.
It takes a while (mainly due to time constraints and poor guitar chops) and I end up spending most of my time writing and arranging stuff digitally than actually recording, even with the new setup.

Bella - Triple Text
Cool. The hihat is a little too present for me, would like a little more dynamic in it, but I guess it's fine.
Personally I'd like the track a bit more if more happened in it, in the sense that it stays around the same vibe for 3 minutes and only in the last minute the extra happens. But that's just me of course.
Production is tight, so is the composition.
Asters - Circling The Drain
I love shit like this. Just wish there was a little bit more going on after the initial main loop enters. But it sounds great!
QQQ - Shriveling
Yes, some grainy beats. Yes, some glitchy beats. Very nice to listen to, is this the final edit or you making it longer?
Now it's my turn:
I've been doing this project for a couple of weeks now where I make a piece of music that is 1 minute long, every week. It's supposed to be a piece to wake up to (so an alarm clock), based on the rationale that the default alarms on your phone are ass.
Every week can be different, based on which mood I'm in or what I'm inspired by. I'm on quite the digital binge right now.
Check it out if you're feeling it, also, stuff is free to dl if you want to wake up to some of it!
These are my last 2 alarm clocks:
