One of my favorite parts of the album is how it's cushioned by Vicarious Atonement and El Ciervo Vulnerado, going out the same way it came in.

Tetragrammaton is also a masterpiece.

Agreed. Bedlam is try-hardy with trying to capture the range that was in FTM.

Almost every song after Amputechture has that weird nasal sound to it, but I personally don't mind. Vocals aren't always the frosting on the cake

I mean his sprawling, really out there vocals really set the tone well for the first two albums, but I think people forget how good the fucking playing on all fronts is with TMV. The guitars, drums, literally everything is always so over-the-top.

favorites for me are Bedlam / Octa / Noct. i haven't listened to the others much if at all.

Nocto is the only bad album. Although Octo is a little flat it still holds up and compliments Bedlam well.

Bedlam is actually my favourite. I love the cacophonous and chaotic nature of the whole record.
