he looks like he fucks black guys

was cool at first but then the meddlesome little sjw tumblr snowflakes ruined his content for me

visually, he cool
musically, he cool
personally, he fucked my bitch so fuck him

Mediocre, people who know nothing about music praise him to the worlds end and it pisses me off. Inchman is a great song though, he has potential.

damn you i forgot all about this godforsaken channel until now

Hypnagogic artists duuh

Peppermint is filled to the brim with so much soi that it's actually impressive

>The same quirky vha filter lo-fi tumblr core that Ariel Pink has been producing since 2011
Boring

Only good YouTube-core artist.

I know for a fact that this is true because I personally fucked him.

One of my favorite artists, personally.

DUDE ARIEL PINK LMAO

Ariel Pink but good

Jack Stabber could NEVER EVER produced a track like Trepanated Earth in his life

Quit trying to compare the incomparable

>he unironically listens to Ariel Pink
He’s a talentless hack who steals music.

Pop food is one of my all time favorite albums, when it came out it was amazing, then the rest of the internet found out about him and he had to be liberal to survive.

he used to have a great style on his first two and a half albums but good lord is his current work garbage.

he's talking about Ariel Pink not P!nk you dumdum user

I like his catchy fast-paced stuff like some of the tracks on pop food

his animation >>>> his music
YET his music is still better than any trap or indie pop produced in a decade...

is this Casiotone for the Painfully Alone?

hi schizo

Okay here's my honest thoughts on Jack Stauber and why I unsubscribed from him:
I would describe his music as a very boring shade of brown. His music is brown. His art is brown. His take on lo-fi is brown. It's a few hairs away from actually being cool. It's not far from it but it's not quite there.
He doesn't know how to do lo-fi in a compelling manner. It's lo-fi as a stand-in for originality/creativity. There's no vintage chic to it. No BoC-esque mystique. No commitment to it like Ariel Pink.
If you take a song/video and record it to VHS and capture it back to 1080p it doesn't automatically make it interesting. Sorry.
Also his sensibility lies somewhere between They Might Be Giants and Weird Al - not a good place to be. A touch of maturity might make him more tolerable.

His strength is the really catchy stuff like Inchman. His full version of Inchman was behind a paywall and I was glad to pay money to get it because I loved it so much. Turns out the part in the video was the only good part, the rest sucked ass.
His music suffers from lack of direction. He needs more structure. He would really benefit from the conventional pop-song structure. If Inchman had been structured like that then I might still be listening to it regularly. Pop song structure is an established paradigm for a reason. It's already the result of decades of musical natural selection and survival of the fittest. Why flirt with an inferior structure?

His work feels honest. I will give him that. It comes from a place of heart. He just needs a little more cool factor and I think he would be golden.

LOL the edgy/cringe mediocre pop star with the dyke haircut?

yes, we're talking about ariel pink

bump

I fully agree. I love the claymation bits in his videos. The music is just alright. I don't know if he could make a short movie or whatever but his stuff works great as neat and short filler on adult swim

This post is unironically based

i agree with all of this. i see his style as "workman-like." i think he appreciates the results/effects of his tools (VHS, editing) more than any avant garde notions of tape manipulation. i'm not sure there's anything wrong with that.

his work reminds me of stuff that used to be on the Channel Frederator episodes from like 2004. Lots of experimental animator musicians with catchy, cute stuff that wasn't trying to be too deep. i'll try to find an example ...

nerdy cool boy + cute nerdy girl + domestic frustrations + existential dread + animation

For the quirky art hoes that I want to give syphilis

bump

I like his music but the fanbase is ass

I said hi to him at a John Maus show in Pittsburgh and told him how much I liked his music. He seems like a nice guy.

I would have knocked him out then robbed him
