jenny saville is a great painter.

post a song you like.

Tied with Ritual De Lo Habitual for the best rock album of the 90s.
I've been too honest with myself, I should have lied like everybody else.

>both Definitely Maybe and The Holy Bible came out during late August '94

The month grunge officially died.

AOTY 1994 coming through. Celebrating its 25th in a few months.

>Richey lives
>Judge Yr'self gets on the Judge Dredd film soundtrack
>Everything Must Go sounds like "Nine Inch Nails meets Screamadelica meets Pantera meets Linton Kwesi Johnson"
Do you rate this timeline?

Sorry I meant
>Richey stays

>track 2
Fucking cringe and cucked.

>Judge Y'rself

A great closing for the Richey era. It distills everything Richey ever tried to say into such beautifully simple terms.
Fuck though, I still think about what they would have done if Richey hadn't killed himself all the time. The album would have probably been completely at odds with the "live forever" vibe of Britpop. They probably would have gotten Albini to produce it.

One of the best albums of the 90s. Deserves a much higher place whenever people mention the top rock albums of that decade, its much more deserving than fucking Pearl Jam, for example

It is above average

>no Know Your Enemy
>no Lifeblood
>no Send Away the Tigers
>etc.

What could have been ;_;

uh oh, somebody's getting triggered

Stop misusing the word "triggered." That's offensive to victims of panic attacks.

I HAVE CRAWLED SO FAR SIDEWAYS
I RECOGNIZE DIM TRACES OF CREATION
I WANNA DIE
DIE IN THE SUMMERTIME I WANNA DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

If it makes you feel any better, there's also a pro-death penalty song on there.

Disliked.

Traci a cute!

Nicky was right, American indie rock was sucking major ass by the early 90s.
The only band worth paying attention to in that scene was Guided By Voices, and I don't think it was a coincidence that they were also one of the very, very few US indie bands of the time who had authentic working-class roots and didn't come from a rich kid background.

'Yes' is probably their best song.
