I think Grohl is among the best rock drummers. Maybe not in terms of chops or improvisation, but his drum parts serve the songs incredibly well. Although his parts are simple, they enhance the music and that he deeply cares for the music he plays on. His time is solid and everything he does is clean and grooves. You can’t ask for more than that.
