Pantera...10 percent cringe, 90 percent based. That is an excellent percentage compared to most artists.

you cannot have those sideburns and be 90% based
Pantera is misanthropy done right. Give me more artists like that. Nu-Slayer and Slipknot don't count
Quite the contrary.
From left to right.

Sorry OP that's 75% cringe.
Phil is by far the most cringe member, and the one who makes them even 10 percent cringe.
Hard agree. Phil is based in a lot of ways, but if anyone in Pantera is cringe it's him for his try hard antics.
Vinnie also cringe for Hellyeah, but can't hold side projects as points against the main band.
We need more bands that openly hate niggers.
I don't like redneck shit. The singer is a racist meathead.

That's about an 85% based there for me
You look like this and criticize people who don't press paper towels against their pizza prior to eating it.
based
at least I look like a regular fucking human being and not that filth. fuck off back to jerking off to metal magic
>a gay
>a regular human
Phil played in necrophagia, therefore most based
Based
Imagine having a fanbase with such a fragile grasp on their masculinity that you have to explain why you included a a slow cover on your album.
imagine being cucked enough to even write this note to your fans instead of just doing what you want as an artist
Not the fanbases fault, Phil's fault
Pantera's fanbase were metalhead hanger ons from the 80's, Phil was a wanna be hardcore punk poseur.
Reinventing the Steel is underrated
I marathoned the discography last year, nothing after Cowboys really stuck with me other than . Power Metal was the best on all accounts (production/riffs/vocals). Damageplan and Hellyeah are unlistenable but I liked Superjoint and Down to some degree. Phil's definitely a cunt but the evidence points to the band owing their success to Phil
>Phil's definitely a cunt but the evidence points to the band owing their success to Phil
No...not at all
>2 middling glam albums
>1 great glam album
>1 really good metal album
>increasingly shittier albums after the Darrels decided they hated Phil
>good Phil side projects
>bad Darrell side projects
All the evidence is there, user.
WALK ON HOME BOY
All Phil brought to the table after Cowboys was a wanna be Rollins persona and shit vocals, Dime Rex and Vinnie were always the main talent after that point.
Damageplan and Hellyeah sucked, but it is what it is...they tried to go where contemporary metal was as they became old guys trying to fit in with kids and thus rendered themselves kind of lame.
I'll even grant you this much, Pantera does owe "success" to Phil because he was the frontman they needed who took up a persona that was far removed from metal tradition enough to be considered "cool" in the 90's, but that doesn't make him good. Metallica wouldn't have survived the 90's if they kept making thrash metal, either just like Pantera wouldn't have if Phil kept hitting high notes....but the music would have been better on his part.
>but the music would have been better on his part.
No it wouldn't. I don't like Phil Halford. GSTK>CFH
You probably also prefer Hatebreed to Black Sabbath. So to each his own I guess.
Nu Metal sucks
yeah it's more like 110%

It just doesn't match Pantera's music imo. Judas Priest is good because everything works with each other. 90's Pantera works with Phil's anger better than high-flying vocals do
Glamtera is more Pantera than what they became
