Here's what I don't get. Rock n roll music was invented by blacks but then whites revolutionized rock music and it became a largely white genre. Why hasn't the same thing happened to hip hop? Blacks still dominate the genre, and whites haven't done anything new with it.

THE IMPORTANT PART: When you have a good product, the key part to making profit is to cut costs. This means removing all the inessentials, all the unimportant but pointless luxuries - in this case, musicianship, lyricism, ambition, musical depth, instruments, singing ability, talent...

The product isn't music. The product is catchy angst. So what would it sound like if you got rid of all the instruments, had the most basic electronic sound and metronome click percussion, had vocalists who didn't try to sing or even rap, and just mumbled catch phrases that resonated with consumerist teens with their parents' money? It's socially accepted as the chilling with people/party music, and it's very immediately enjoyable, everything good about it right on the surface and slaps you in the face. Not like a band like say, tool, which takes repeated listens to unravel and appreciate more and more and have it "click"

It's essentially elevator music for a party. Don't really need to be listening to get pretty much the full effect.

Rap music at clubs fucking sucks. It's just an excuse for the foids to put as little effort into dancing as possible because instead of thinking about rhythm or getting into the music or anything they can just squat whenever they hear an 808.

Proper dance music is great because it takes you on a journey with highs and lows in energy and you can really easily loose yourself for a while in a catchy melody.

Live shows at small venues are the best because everyone is really into it and throws themself at the stage with everything they have.
