Tool fan here. Can agree with this. Take a look at Aenima, their most popular record (certainly in the top two). There's a lot of sonic and compositional variety, a healthy amount of experimentation, and each track feels like it goes several places. Yet most of them, even Eulogy and Pushit, are under 10 minutes long. And in terms of the ground they cover, they feel like sagas compared to what we're hearing on Fear Inoculum.

What is it about that song? It seriously makes me feel good mentally and physically in a way most music doesn't do, I can't stop playing it. I know they've done the fibbonaccii thing so this song has to have some combo of tones and rythyms that are scientifically proven to be therapeutic and coded inside the brain to release dopemine and activate the opiate receptors and stuff. I'm not really a tool fan and I used to make fun of the fans who say tool changed their life but goddamn I guess tuere is something to all that. Song of the decade!

There's something off about that new album. I cannot put my finger on it. Maynard's lyrics/vocals are kind of weird and shitty and a lot of the music sounds like retreads of older material. I listened to the whole thing and the only time I ever thought "woah that's cool" was about 8 and a half minutes into the last track on the album.

Fiddlers green amphitheater has a closed off "VIP" area in the center of the seats. It has guards and people checking passes. Im guessing Blair and camella just wanted to see the concert? I havent listened to 7EMPEST yet, I am saving that one for the official release. I am addicted to the entire album. My favorite at the moment is Descending.
