Here's my favorite

Its either this, Mystic Stylez or Madvillainy

Attached: 36 chamber.jpg (355x355, 24K)

Midnight Marauders >>

Attached: mbdtf.jpg (600x600, 220K)

They lack depth, their samples are almost always out of tune while being too compressed. They lack a fundamental of theory.
Pic related is the real best Hip Hop album if you're looking at it objectively.

Attached: 36 Chambers.jpg (800x800, 90K)

Illmatic is better and it's inferior on a technical level, but it's rawness is superior to any other hiphop album

Fuck you

Attached: deathgrips-11.13.2013-616x440.jpg (616x440, 24K)

my favorite MF Doom release. Some hate all the skits in the middle but I love the plunderphonics

Attached: 220px-mmFood.jpg (1000x1000, 159K)

anything associated with wu tang is at most kind of good
beyond overrated and laughably mediocre
faggot
ebin
vaudeville villain is a masterpiece

Attached: image.jpg (1200x1200, 168K)

MBDTF is compressed because it's a pop album so it's made to sound good on whatever speakers you use

How come Ugly Mane fans are almost always the biggest retards?

who's ugly mane

Attached: c4e-cs.jpg (2000x2000, 693K)

MF Doom is objectively trash, his rhymes are weak as fuck, make no sense, and have completely illogical flow.

Thinking that Mystic Stylez is the best 3-6 album is literally the whitest opinion on hip hip that you could have

you're embarrassing the shit out of yourself. 36 Chambers and Liquid Swords are the 2 best Wu Tang projects. I would put Supreme Clientele up there as well. And why are you responding to a guy who posted MM..FOOD by saying "vaudeville villain is a masterpiece?" Yeah, I would say Vaudeville Villain is a good project, but it doesn't touch MM..FOOD or Madvillainy. You called a guy who posted Kanye's most loved album a faggot. How the fuck do you call someone who posted MBDTF a faggot? and then you respond to a Government Plates post with "ebin" as if it isn't the Death Grips's weakest project. And lastly, you post a mediocre to "okay" Ugly Mane project that's not even as good as Mista Thug Isolation. And yet Mista Thug Isolation is a beginning of the 2010s internet meme project that represents the ironic internet culture in that niche of time. It shouldn't be considered a "best rap album of all time."

Attached: f.jpg (412x352, 21K)

this, black people listen to When The Smoke Clears or Da Unbreakables

why did you type all of this

It took me like 6 minutes and I just had to respond. A bigger waste of time would be fucking your mom

Liquid Swords is incredibly overrated by "REAL HIP HOP HEADZ" It's nowhere near 36 Chambers, Cuban Links, Ironman, etc.

Attached: UGK_Ridin'_Dirty_1996.jpg (315x316, 20K)

Lord Willin is considerably better

Attached: R-8175794-1456575975-7559.jpeg.jpg (299x300, 19K)

I can't imagine how anybody would think it's anything but 36 Chambers. It has everything you could want in a hip hop album

Attached: fantastic_damage.jpg (800x800, 145K)

And you can tell that maybe time is out of joint my love...so this is maybe just an SOS, shrapnel, an echo of dead sentiment, measurement tossed to nothing for no one a wasted effort - a shrug. I used to be in love

>Nigger hop
>good
Hip Hop would be made up of almost entirely cover artists, if only they could sing. So, considering cover artists get little respect, hip hop then would be the lowest form of music as an art form.

Best rap album of all time right here. Niggas On The Moon is amazing

Literally all their other tapes from that era and dozens of albums after it are all better, it's just their debut album

shits so good. idk why he hasnt released anythign as good :(

its amazing how good neptunes production is - despite it being so dominant for years it still sounds fresh

how come you prefer this album over all eyez on me or makaveli 7 days theory?

All 3 are classics. I prefer a tighter album, so that rules out AEOM, and the other two are basically toss ups for me.

MATW is his most relatable work, and I prefer the production although I'd have to listen to both again
7 Day is a vengeful album, 'fuck the world' shit

Pac was a much better artist before becoming a tryhard gangster and Piru wannabe

Attached: icpjokers.jpg (800x600, 80K)

Eminem's discography (yes, the entirety of it) and that's it for good rap.

i was dissapointed in liquid swords. it seemed less energetic than 36 chambers; also they seemed to be too close to the mic , and so had to change the way they vocalized.

I like raekown's only built for cuban linx and also ghostface's ironman. those are pure kino

All those things you just said about those albums all apply to 36 Chambers too.

Also 36 Chambers has a handful of decent tracks but the rest feels just as flawed and mediocre. Their solo projects are much better.

Eminem has 1 good album

this

36 Chambers blows the solo projects out of the water. None of the solo projects have anything on the level of 7th chamber pt 2, protect ya neck, or shame on a nigga

Attached: Cover.jpg (596x600, 120K)

>Also 36 Chambers has a handful of decent tracks but the rest feels just as flawed and mediocre
are you high dude

>They lack depth, their samples are almost always out of tune while being too compressed. They lack a fundamental of theory.
None of that can be said about 36 chambers, not even close.

amazing flow

It’s overrated man. Also Tearz is complete ear rape at the beginning.

sissy

Literally based

yeah that is annoying, but they're so corny they're almost funny ironically
is there a version online with the skits cut out?

>no one posed Die Lit

The album takes me down a cybernetic train of sound and I get lost in all of the beats/el's odd flows and vocabulary. It doesnt sound polished at first listen but once you have it on repeat you notice that el deliberately placed every sound going on. I definitely think it's his best and it's one of the staples of the early 2000s underground scene.

was just thinking about that

Iv tried to get into kool keith a few times with mediocre results, il try again with this and if it sucks im fuckin done with his goofy ass

go back

Supreme Clientele and Liquid Swords

pac was indeed a true gangster he was shooting and stomping niggas, you dont know anything about gangs never say the word piru again

If human life on earth was facing destruction the rap albums that would be most important to preserve for alien life are:

It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back
36 Chambers
To Pimp a Butterfly
Kids See Ghosts
The Cold Vein
Miseducation of Lauryn Hill

All based

1) Illmatic
2) The Slim Shady LP
3) Operation: Doomsday
4) Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)
5) The College Dropout

This is the definitive top 5. Don't @ me

most interesting mixtape to come out in the last 10 years

these are the anons with good taste. everyone else is meh or haven't listened. also how has nobody posted any CunninLynguists?

Paul's Boutique to Hello Nasty is the best run of Rap / Hip Hop that's ever been laid to wax. There's no denying it. Even their instrumental stuff post Hello Nasty is phenomenal.

Liquid Swords is the only track I can get into on this one are there any other tracks that really stand out specifically or am I just glossing over the whole album?

most niggas on Yea Forums dont know about how tragic his death was

Duel of the Iron Mic and 4th Chamber are two of the greatest Wu Tang affiliated tracks ever. I’d give it a listen in full, it took a couple to fully grow on me

The Beastie Boys reign supreme and there's no legit argument against their supreme run of albums.

>tragic
I think the man's heart just croaked

Can't get much whiter than this take

What's your opinion on their golden age and how it compares to rap / hip hop as a whole? Name artists that have had better careers / influences.

I'm white and I heard it, I only like luchini

Oh...gunna kill myself now.

That whole nyc era was higher quality, the beasties just had that punk-ish influence that spread their music super far.

fucking finally, great album, legitimately have no heard anything that comes close. Not even from Madlib, everything just works here and theres no filler

I preferred Old. Particularly the track with Gibbs where Danny raps like a fuckin g

Licensed to Ill - Hello Nasty is a great 5 album run but I think:

Kanye
Kendrick
MF DOOM
Tribe
Outkast
Gang Starr
The Roots
Ice Cube

have comparable ones

Attached: playboi-carti-album.jpg (1119x1200, 216K)

Freddie Gibbs is actually fucking hot fucking trash but he had MadLib so everyone thought he was good. But this album IS GOOD. But literally anyone else could have made this album better.

Those individual artists don't have discographies that compare, though. They each had times to shine, but they didn't sustain albums crossing the same span of time in terms of the music speaking for itself.

apart from that i agree

Not enough respect for this masterpiece.

Nice netbanging lad
Pac was a thug and harder than most but you simply can't decide to claim piru or anything at 20-something and just become a gangster overnight, Pac tryna claim E/S M.O.B Piru was the worst mistake of his life and made his music after MATW kinda cringy (not that AEOM and Killuminaty weren't great albums)

Based and tribepilled

Legendary album

Based, user. I love the tracks Dump the Clip and Frontline.

This finally fully clicked for me yesterday. I think I'd have a hard time arguing why this isn't the greatest hip hop album ever now. Chuck D was on a mission and the production is so detailed
