I know this is sarcasm, but there's a noticeable effect where people resembling the status quo (straight white dudes) tend to have their viewpoints heard (and therefore are able to control the conversation) compared to marginalized groups (people of color, LGBT, etc...) who almost never get to control the conversation around issues that affect them. Think about how few muslims were interviewed by the media in the years that followed 9/11 or the Iraq war. Hell, look at the SEVERE magnitude of the backlash Ilhan Omar faced for a pointing out a single uncomfortable truth. It's left up to lefty white dudes to stick up for these groups. It's why most leftist movements (for example: breadtube) are dominated by white dudes.
