It's even worse when she actually has a decent voice, but wastes it on constantly screaming and shouting throughout the song, I'm looking at you Alicia Keys. Or any 'acclaimed' female pop singer for that matter. Ever heard of subtlety? It's like the vocal equivalent of very fast but soulless guitar wankery.

It's sad that these characteristics are the only ones that are praised on a singer, expecially female, nowadays.
