"Challenging conventions" and "burning sacred cows" is an immature and hollow way to get attention. He couldnt write objectivly beautiful, memorable music so he decided to shit in ppls faces instead with a fuckton of blatantly complicated nonsense because he hated anybody who wasn't an academic and would then get all uppity when confronted. "But who's to say what's good/isn't good?!!?" Analyzing the structure of a turd doesn't change the fact that it's still a turd.

I don’t think you quite understand. Frank wrote a very wide variety of music incorporating different styles of music from cultures around the world. He also tried to showcase many different kinds of artists on rotation to try and add variety to his music. The Black Page #1 and #2 were written as joke pieces for Terry Bozzio and Steve Vai to play as an in-joke with the band.

Please do research before complaining.
