the same age I grew out of Rap

18. Then I grew back into it at 26

67

The day I discovered Billie Eilish.

like 15

Pretty much this for me as well.

>Be 18
>"Man this is so shit, I'm going to take it off my iPod"
>Be 27
"Man this is so good, why haven't I listened to this in forever?"

16

Metal is the only genre where you need zero creativity to be considered good

Never. Just explored beyond the mainstream and listened to other stuff more as well.

*cough* rap *cough*

This. I gave rap a shot then never again that stuff is CRAP brother. Rock on!

faggot

Same

Maiden, Ozzy, Priest, Dp, Dio, Metallica...

I'll kick your ass

Pantera, acdc, korn, tool styx

Never have and never will, it gives me energy, makes me forget about the problems and it's the genre of music I'm most familiar with.
I like a ton of shit when it comes to genres, but in the end everything else seems kinda bland and boring in comparison.

Fucking rock

15

21, but was listening since a single digit. is boring to never move on. probably not a coincidence that metalheads are all so similar.

17

I've come across a few interesting ones, in that they don't fit the usual mould

>Risk management analyst at a big bank
>Classics PhD Candidate
>Government tax auditor
>Super unassuming father of two neighbour who goes to church on Sundays and loves the fuck out of Children of Bodum

But aside from those they are... remarkably alike. But then again, so are most people on this board

most people grow out of metal up around 9.6 but I grew out of it at 7-8 max

Same actually

Mid 20s maybe. I still listen to some metal though occasionally.

Same, but it wasn't the same type. As a kid, I'd listen to insane black metal garbage, now I listen to stupid boomer 70s proto-metal.

never

>No Breakdowns
>Not Music

>metalcore

sneed

I still listen to it from time to time

Huh? How is that even remotely true
Of all the ignorant opinions I've seen on metal from people who never listened to it, this one is the weirdest by far

for real mehtal has never been good

Around 17/18, grew back into it at 22/23 again and am now growing out of it again, once again for the same reason as the first time - people won't shut the fuck up about Tool

Same

this

this

Mate, Tool aren't even a metal band

bump fuck metal
