I enjoyed the tune you posted, the DG influence had me expecting something more conventional but it had a nice dadaist absurdism to it true washed out beauty, if you don't mind my asking how did you cultivate so many listeners? Was there a place you shared it around that was very successful or does it just take patience? always a treat to listen to new aedact, you're always pushing the boundaries
this is tight, the track reminds me of both micachu's production and xiu xiu's style. good tune
listened to a couple tracks and they're pretty good, the lyrics are great and i like your voice and delivery. beat choices are good as well. maybe work on the vocal mixing, they sound a little subdued on some tracks. or maybe it's the mic, i don't know
i like how disorienting this one is, would this be considered "analog" drum and bass or something? pretty fresh compared to the usual chopped up amen break most people use
>soundcloud.com/user-345725420/untitled-preview-1 good start! i like the progression to the drop a lot! you have some really good ideas going on in this track, some good mixing and mastering would go a long way!
>soundcloud.com/sleepyear/try decent mixing, and good song! the only thing i would say for you is that your vocs are a lil on the loud side, but not a huge issue! nice work
>bass >electronic >dubstep
hi! i make heavyish music, and i hope you guys like it!
Good song, the lyrical content was pretty engaging, very well rounded mix but the vocals weren't a strong point in the track for me. The art is absolutely amazing, does little ghost dude have a name?? :•)
Some really really awesome sounds going on there for sure. I like it.
The song was good dude, the vocals feel a tad too loud overall but the backing track was genuinely groovy...something similar to Beach Fossils.
legit just posted in soundcloud threads until somehow got noticed at the right point in time. small label talked to bigger label and then the whole thing got gross. i disconnected entirely and felt uncomfortable just sharing myself with the rest of you guys. still trying to normalize

sorry i responded wrong

lol its chill, thanks for the insight. Sorry to hear things got messy
>depressive ambient >minimalism >thanks for all the support everybody
RECS: This was pretty fun and I liked the themes and ideas. The main melody was pretty catchy and sounded nice. I feel like the 808 was mixed wrong and covers your vocals. And as with most Yea Forums hip-hop, the vocals are recorded pretty badly :( If the vocals were recorded and mixed well this would be a certified hood classic.
Fuck My CPU was such a banger honestly. The bass line and groove throughout was amazing. This certainly is an a e s t h e t i c and I dig it big time.
I like how you can create depth using very robotic and simple instruments. Subtle melodies and counter melodies throughout were very sprinkly and feel-good. Opening theme is definitely my favourite just for how lush the chords are and how simple and tight the melodies are. Good stuff!
Me:(You) i listened to Simon Cameron Fletcher - Never Comes, you've got a good voice and the productions fits the style. it kind of reminds me of the end song to adventure time
good stuff man, it reminds me of the stuff i use to listen to in like 2008. well produced
this is dope, like the artwork this is some good stuff, don't care / hounds of low and self-portrait are standouts for me
this reminds me of that song from hotline miami but if it were trap. like it
recs: I dig it wtf is this? I like it. Super crazy Do you use any plugins to do the stutter glitch stuff? I get a Blam Honey vibe It's like a nauseous dream pop, I like it.
Yes I do. iZotope VocalSynth has a built in 'shred' modifier which is used extensively. I also used a VST called Glitch2 (which another user on here showed me) on the Hi Hats.

Any technofags here? I need quick feedback. Do you think the kick has enough power here?
Also are there any sites to easily share audio files without compression? Vocaroo is fucking gay. Not gonna make a soundcloud account until I'm actually happy with the shit I'm producing.
RECS listen to my first beat tape if u wanna have a nightmare trip for 13 minutes, I say being too much of a pussy to have ever done drugs, spare Advil
>instrumental hip-hop >industrial hip-hop >post-trap >post-industrial >ffo JPEGMAFIA or DJ rozwell maybe, idk what this really sounds like
That's absolutely fucking horrendous. Stop pretending like your know how to make music with your artsy images, like this shit is deep. You're a fucking pleb hack.
I've not really ever learned an instrument but I've taken my first swing at some songs, please let me know what you think of them. Anyone's feedback, critical, non-critical, etc, helps because I am very very new to this.
im not super accustomed to the whole genre ur doing but i kinda like what ur going for. i do think the instrumentals are a little bare at times but maybe thats the point
i think u have some interesting musical ideas but 11 minutes is a bit too long imo
always weird to see something this cleanly produced on a Yea Forums thread. .pretty groovy stuff tho i digs it
rappings pretty on point but i think you could add more shit to make the vocals more interesting (like adlibs n layers n shit)
i dig the fuck out of this, ur music hits a weird sweet spot for me. i followed 2. keep it up!
the productions weird but i dont neccesarily think thats a bad thing. i do think u could add more stuff to vary the instrumentals tho
i think its really cool the way this track slowly builds up, it sounds slick as fuck. also i accidentally clicked on ur profile picture and it jumpscared me
i think u could make ur tracks vary a bit more but i think u have some interesting music ideas. kinda reminds me of pilotredsun
This was recorded acoustically on just laptop mic and then turned into electric with fuckery, also experimenting with layered tracks on this one. Tell me what's up
how come u took a year off? ur next track better come sooner than 6 months.
4 YEARS AGO!!!? BRO THIS TRACK SLAPS! GET OFF MU AND GO BACK TO MAKIN MUSIC!!!!!!! IM BUSTIN A FUCKIN BOOGIE BUSTIN A NUT
never sleep on aedact!!!
been off mu for a while so this is my fisrt time hearing hit and run. u always knock it out of the park man u got a real knack for this music thing. wishin u all the success in the world dawg :)
this is my first song that i've properly mixed and released, out of maybe 25 i have in the backlog. the end goal for this project is to make it big in the music industry and then be guillotined onstage at 27.
>indie/alt >jangle pop >emo >acoustic with minimal synths
influences: >bright eyes >the magnetic fields >pavement
stuff i enjoyed rec'd solely for the name "slave beaver revolt"
weirdstorms.bandcamp.com/ Hi I recently finished my album. It's sad songs recorded in my room about driftwood rotting in the mud and how there's another world beyond this one split into three layers, and also why is it so god damn hot. I listen to a lot of Mount Eerie and Joan of Arc.
Why is this so fucking good? Jesus christ dude, great voice, great beats, great samples? I assume you're sampling.
Me:(You) thanks man, this is some dark stuff man, like it
this is dope man, love the production.
took a year off to get out, start to gig and that around liverpool. next song should be next month. i listened to Team Snagem. productions great, really out there stuff man
