umm yeah, The Cure is god-tier goth, but they're not like Evanescence so I don't know what to recommend to OP...
maybe Nightwish and Within Temptations? every Ev fan I've met also likes these two and they were big rivals 10-15 years ago

Goth is such a crappy genre description, so many of these bands overlap into folk metal, symphonic metal, straight up buttrock, and sometimes even power metal. Half the time they only get classified as goth because of what they're wearing
Goth isn't a genre, idiot. There's goth rock and Gothic metal. Only goth music that overlaps to metal is 2000s third wave German goth rock.
