Not true, particularly when accounting for population sound. Finland has as many DM classics as the US and the population is about a hundred times smaller. Norway is far superior in BM to the US and UK combined.

Norway mostly only makes black metal and only about a third to half of it is any good. Germany hasn’t been relevant for metal since the 80s thanks to neue deutsche harte ruining them. As for Finland they may have the most bands per capita but many are crappy power metal.
