Help me fill out my 2019 chart, I haven't listened to much at all.

I've taken to buying my own coffee beans. Level Ground Ethiopian blend. I blend it up into a fine powder and infuse it in water like a tea, but unlike coffee this is drinking the whole bean. I deeply steep this sludge mixture and blend it with a tablespoon of uncultured butter, and I infuse this with coconut sugar and 4 grams of nutmeg. That's Negro Cronk. Yerba - same process, except replace the nutmeg with some dried Coca leaves. That's Latino Cronk. Make a liter of each, combine them into an autistic 2 liter mega brew.
That mega brew is called Bolivian Django.
I drink about a liter of Bolivian Django per day these days.

The people who I've heard 0 albums off their chart most likely have the best taste

I'm an Anti-AOTY kind of person that hates most modern music, but

David Grubbs & Taku Unami – Failed Celestial Creatures

how in the sweet blazing fuck have you not heard a single album on my chart when it has
Spacemen 3
The Orb
Autechre
John Fahey
Sun Ra
Long Fin Killie
Jessamine
Monolake

Like, these are pretty popular artists.....

what kind of music do you even listen to?

That black subnation was really nice. Thanks.

I have pretty basic taste for this board, most likely I haven't heard as much music as you. I've heard of Joh Fahey and Sun Ra but I've never gotten around to listening to em

Attached: Garbage Taste.png (1362x787, 989K)

that A1 is a smoker.

I've been all about Wax Doctor - Spectrum lately.
youtube.com/watch?v=8SyFlRkC998

Also, do you listen to Deep House? I've been binging Deep House lately and I need that super deep, jazzy, 90s stuff with sensible yet minimal vocals.

John Fahey is a nice branching point for people who want to get deeper into the history and art of folk music. Since American Primitivism was meant to reintroduce the 12-String Steel guitar as an instrument of high class, it uses a lot of intellectual and minimalist tendencies.
Your affinity for Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash and Steve Reich would probably indicate that you'd enjoy Fahey after a few listens.

After that, well, Fahey is a portal into the 78rpm era. Old blues and folk from the 20s inspired him, namely Frank Hutchison and Charley Patton.

On that point, you'd love a lot of old blues on 78rpm because it directly inspired most of the rock on your chart.
Check out Blind Willie Johnson, Bukka White, Kokomo Arnold, the aforementioned Patton, and Blind Blake.

Some of my AOTY contenders are:

Hiding Places (Billy Woods & Kenny Segal)
Panorama (La Dispute)
Titanic Rising (Weyes Blood)
No Geography (Chemical Brothers)

and Igor but you already got that one

A bit of a mess and far from my 25 favorite albums of all time, but these were the ones that really characterized my summer.

Can I get some creepy abstract hip hop that isn't horrorcore? Maybe something a bit more psychedelic and immersive like Flick Your Tongue, Paraffin, or Some Rap Songs?
