What do you think of Joji?

I really really liked Sanctuary. And the Chloe Burbank stuff was great too, had some interesting ideas in it. The rest is decent but a bit too forgettable.
I wish he would let his creativity go completely loose once again but hey, he's making a good living out of something that he's always wanted to do so all the more power to him. Seems like a good bloke, too.

His music is awful and he takes himself too seriously.

Also I always lol when I think of his music video where he's dressed in a pink suit and chained to something, because it's a metaphor to how he's "trapped to pink guy" or something. Corny hapa fag.

oh and his visuals are cool as shit, especially for Test Drive. Too bad the song sucked.

I think it's actually quite decent desu, for someone who doesn't listen to much pop. I can't think of many modern (male) artists with a voice like his, and the production is always unique and catchy. and yes I am a zoom zoom

Pink guy was legitimately better than ANYTHING he has done since (Chloe Burbank 1 was about the same)

I like Joji's sound but it gets real old because he is not varied anymore like he was on the pink season tape, or even his early soundcloud tracks.
Also the main reason I think he fails to do what he's trying to do is because he's too vague and comes off as fake.
His lyrics are extremely vague and don't have any specific details that tie the music to himself.
Literally anyone else could've made his discography and it wouldn't change a thing.
It's music without a personality, it feels like this "Joji" is just another character he's playing like filthy frank or pink guy.

I personally think he's too afraid to fully put himself out there.
I don't know why, because honestly Joji has a very unique perspective and history that could easily be turned into music.
