I've gone to 20-30% of shows alone. just bring cigarattes or weed and use them to join a conversation by asking for a lighter. works evert time

I've done it many times. Some really nice dude befriended me and let me hang with him and his friends one time but other than that its usually a little awkward before the performance starts. I usually just pretend I'm doing something on my phone. I'm done with live shows now anyway. I'm getting too old for it. The last show I attended I felt like one of the narcs on 21 Jump Street.

Yes it is acceptable. You will meet and talk to people just get a drink at the bar.

the few venues that are by me have a strict no singles policy, gotta drive like 20 miles to see one alone. i usually try to catch a show once a month though

Yeah it's totally common and normal. Never really made friends that way though, but I guess you could if you tried. I just bring my phone and don't get there too early

When my brother went to NYC he used to go to shows alone. He had many friends there and a girlfriend but none of them cared about the music he liked.

It's a treat for me whenever I go to concerts with people. I go to concerts so frequently that finding other people who would want to go, let alone actually getting them to buy a ticket, is a process. I've met some cool people though, no long term friends. If you go see a lot of similar music though you're bound to see the same faces at venues.

I go to shows alone all the time since most of my friends are married homebodies. I just grab a drink and play on my phone until the show starts, usually.

I've went to plenty of bleep concerts alone, Drugs and alcohol help. Got laid once or twice from it too

I've been alone to a few shows. Two of Dream Theater and one of Roger Waters. And it was cool. There's no need to be with someone. You are there for the show

Only show I went to alone was Black Moth Super Rainbow cause no one I know listens to them.
It was fucking great.
Just have a few beers and get into the music. It's a concert, you and everyone else should be focused on the music anyway.

If you're going alone, don't pay attention to the fact that you're a sperg who doesn't have any friends that wanna go to a show with you and just go. Bring a couple joints if that's your thing, and don't show what a sperg you are by trying to talk to someone next to you during the show because they don't wanna talk to you. Just enjoy yourself and enjoy the music. Maybe you'll bump into someone before or after the show and you'll hit it off with them.
