Is being neet that bad?

yes. you're a burden on society

You feel like a burden and you have whatever gbp you’re afforded, but it’s better than being a wagie

It's one of the worst things you can do for your overall well-being.

It's not about contributing to society, fuck that, but you will eventually get incredibly tired of watching anime and jerking off and once you reach your 30s you will see all your childhood friends buy big houses, get married, have kids, go on vacataion and you will not feel good about that.

>living into your thirties
no thanks

If you have insane willpower its good, most neets dont.

psychologically it's hell on earth. spend a year or two not leaving the house and you WILL start to go insane.

t. was a NEET for 3 years

Value judgements have no worth, there is no good or bad because your existence is meaningless

>existence is meaningless

speak for yourself, my existence has the meaning I assign to it.

whats the title of that image

it's really interesting because it sounds like an amazing and relaxing life but it actually psychologically fucks you, especially when you're young. it increases your anxiety to the max. When I was NEET, it was great at first but everything I enjoyed about it was quickly made worse by this creeping and intense anxiety of "what's next?" and "what the fuck am I going to do with my life" Combine that with the constant feeling of being a burden. You increasingly feel more trapped. I think it has to do with the lack of that intrisincally necessary balance that we humans need to have between comfort and the challenge of responsibilities.

Yes. It might be comfy on the short term but after a while you turn into an empty soulless cumbrain and a needless burden on the people closest to you. It's an existential nightmare.

All NEETs and homeless should unironically be killed for the greater good of society.

If you look at humanity as a whole, as a species we are never satisfied with anything. We have all this insane tech but we won't stop developing until we have general AI and can conquer space.

As an individual you have to kinda take the same approach. If you stay in one place too long you will end up miserable, you have to set goals and work for them, constantly. It's deeply ingrained in all humans to behave like this.

NEET just means you're not employed, by that definition even retirees are neets. It's a different thing to be a shut in/hikkikomori, which can be mentally taxing depending on your personality

No, it doesn't. It means you are not in employment, training, school or antyhing else despite being in working age. The term has a strictly negative meaning.

ok i didn't know that, but still i don't see the necessary negativity. I'm a wagecuck and i'd be fucking glad to be a neet and not work but i'm not fit for welfare, just have to numb myself 8 hours a day till i come home to play vidya and shitpost

Jokes on you, I never had a soul.

>conquer space

Fuck that, this disease must be contained on one planet.

well yeah, I mean neetdom sounds awesome in theory but if you were to actually live it you wouldn't enjoy for very long I think.

It's some psychological fuckery that humans have to work towards something to not spiral into depression. Even if it's just working towards 5 o clock so you can browse Yea Forums.

I wish part time jobs actually paid well. Its like the best of both worlds when I did it.

my plan is to go consultant and work part-time in something related to Embedded electronics....

but it's probably I pipe dream and I'll end up working 42 hr / week like every other sucker.

>i'm not fit for welfare
America is such a third-world country. Imagine not granting everyone wellfare if they want it.

40 hrs a week is legitimate bullshit

only people with little control over their psyche have to work to reach fulfillment, i think many monks have achieved a much more satisfactory mindset without doing anything in the physical world

monks are based and cringe at the same time.

How do they do it?

Monks don't do nothing, they also dedicate their lives to a goal. They also perform menial works to maintain their monasteries similar to working some shitty job, it's just that rather than being focused on outward goals like a traditional working life they focus on inward goals.

No. Be a neet if you want to be a neet. I don't give a fuck. If its feasible financially, there's no reason you shouldn't be neet. You're basically gaming out what normalfags call an "early retirement." Just don't spend all your time on vidya, anime, and shitposting, and actually find something productive to spend your time on, or else you'll just be wasting time and money until you finally get the balls to put a bullet in your brain.

that’s what everybody says and yet here we all are

>Lol just let the government give your tax money to a bunch of random people so they can sit at home and play video games all day
That's fucking cuckoldry. If it was up to me there would be no welfare at all.

monks actually lead very regimented lives

most intelligent post I've seen on Yea Forums this month.

This response doesn't surprise me. You brainwashed losers actively fought against the idea of free healthcare after all.

Its just going to finance shitskins to shit out 10+ chillins anyway. Totally pointless.

>free healthcare
